Sports Bar atmosphere with multiple TVs and beer signs. Although the restaurant did not appear to be busy, service was slow, although very friendly and adequate when he arrived. My Philly Cheese Steak, Sweet Potatoe Puffs, Coleslaw and Arnold Palmer were delicious.

My husband and I just moved to Charles City and The Pub has become our favorite place to eat. I just love their bacon cheeseburger. The service is amazing and fast and friendly. So happy to find such a great place in our little town.

The best service today!!! Our group of four decided to share three sandwiches. Our server heard us talking about splitting and took it upon himself to have a plate set up for each of us with each of the three sandwiches already cut up and with condiments. He heard one of us mention wanting jalapeños (the others didn’t) so he brought a separate side for him! He was so attentive and kind! If I hadn’t known better I’d have thought he was the owner – but he wasn’t – we asked. The care he provided would make us come back alone!
Now the food…delicious! As mentioned we tried three sandwiches – the breaded tenderloin, the bourbon burger and the cordon bleu chicken sandwich. All were excellent. Our consensus was that the tenderloin was our favorite – crispy breading and just the right thickness of pork. So juicy! We also had the sweet potato puffs, fries, fried pickles and cheese curds. Each were perfectly hot and crispy. We all left stuffed and satisfied!
Atmosphere inside is your standard sports bar. We had hoped to sit outside by the river but it was too hot and they weren’t serving out there.

Muy….Muy….Bueno! On the edge of Cedar River you will find this great pub spot. Make yourself a favor and order the Bourbon burger (delicious) wash it down with a cold draft beer of your choice and you will be on point!
Wife had the raspberry chicken salad and daughter had the yummy popcorn chicken salad, no wonder is a pub favorite
We had a great time and really enjoyed the front row view of cedar river, moments like these make it all worth it. Be thankful every moment you get to break bread with the people you love!

Very busy pub spot. Good selection of local and domestic beers. Food was above average. Service was slow and forgetful. However, very friendly. Had the spinach dip(comes with tomatoes) it was decent. My wife had the flat-iron steak; it was cooked well and to her liking(med rare) I had the patty melt and tots. It was delightful. Will be back.

terribly disappointed with the flavor and quality of my steak! I was expecting more from this place as I was told that it was phenomenally delicious! I do not recommend the steak especially for the price!! The seasoned fries are incredibly delicious!!
