Tacos El Guerro in Fontana needs to calm down because they really had no business being this good. I pulled up expecting regular tacos and left questioning every life choice that led me to eat anywhere else.
I got five tacos. Two al pastor, two asada, and one carnitas. Every single one hit like they were trying to win custody of me. The al pastor tasted like it got blessed before hitting the grill. The asada was so good I had to look around to make sure nobody was watching me fall in love. And the carnitas was the type of taco that makes you rethink your relationship with your current favorite spot.
The salsa? Bro. Whoever makes that needs a raise. It was spicy, but not the kind that ruins your day. More like the kind that gently taps you on the shoulder and reminds you that you are alive.
People hype up taco spots all the time, but this place actually backs it up. I’m already planning my return like it’s a family reunion.

I have to say when I found the shop on Merrill in Fontana I was very pleased with the taco special. Piping hot fresh tacos of the best pastor and lengua and service was fast that I’ve found so far in the IE. It was not far from work so it became my spot for lunch or after work. One day I was driving through Norco and right before my eyes I found one of their other locations. I had to stop. After small talk with a Caballero in Horse City USA, he tells me if you wanna eat like a cowboy get the LOADED TORTA. Say what, loaded torta?
Yup. It’s not on the menu so you have to request it. Ok, so I do that. Girl asks what 2 meats you want. Uhm let’s do carne asada and pastor. Everything that goes on it? yes everything! Two thick slices of grilled Mexican panella cheese, grilled ham, beans, lettuce, tomato, jalapenos, avocados on a giant grilled roll!
Oh and some pineapple agua fresca!
She calls my number I grab my plate….
OMG! This is not even close to what I imagined. The size of this torta was easily the largest I’ve ever seen. (See photo). Half the torta nearly filled me, but I fought on. I managed to eat but it was a struggle! In many cases places make big food items and they’re sloppy and tasteless. All gimmick. Not here. This was packed with flavor. I forgot to mention that I also topped it off with pickled onions and habaneros and some guacamole sauce. Peoples eyes were on me as I sat down and I stared at it for a good 2 minutes. One family asked how you going to pick that up? I said, I haven’t thought that far yet. Good question. I thought of a knife and fork. Then I said nah!!! So I slowly picked up the smallest portion and spun it around to start on the narrower end of the torta.
Holy guacamole!!! Meaty, cheesy, creamy avocados and crispy torta roll was all in my mouth chomping away… So freaking good!! Ok, enough is enough.
Go there and order yours. I promise you if you go there hungry and get this you’ll be beyond satisfied. Great job Tacos El Guero! Enjoy everyone!!

Definitely one of the best tacos we’ve ever had! I ordered the offals and non-gentrified meats and they were amazing! Daughter had her al pastor and carnitas and polished off 6! They were served on tiny tortillas but full to the edges with meat! We will now come here for our street taco fix!

Tacos are great. Prices are above average but you get what you pay for. Whenever you order tacos here and get them prepared with ‘everything on it’ that includes their red salsa which is really good. The condiment bar is self serve and the green creamy salsa is REALLLLY good. Probably one of the top taco spots in the region.

Had the three taco special with a drink for $9 . It was delicious. Great portions and open salsa bar with lots of options . The guys was very friendly and helpful . The girl at the register was kinda cold and didn’t speak English but the food made up for it . Very tasty . It’s very loud music and small place but there is outside seating that was clean and a whole vibe . I stopped sparaticaly for a quick bite and it was worth it

Torta de asada was very good. Like most places sour cream and avocado is an additional fee and there’s a $1 credit card fee. Total price about $13 cash.

The only thing I got here was some carne asada tacos,Al pastor tacos,& a burrito. The carne asada tacos were bomb and so was the burrito. The al pastor tacos were okay. Their agua frescas are so good! They have a salsa bar which is good you can get as many toppings as you’d like. The bathroom is clean but there was like several crates in there I’m assuming they use the bathroom for storage.

I love this place. The food is great, and I love their lengua tacos, so juicy and fresh. I eat there at least 2 times a week. The lady at the register is always in a great mood and is always smiling. You can catch her singing and dancing with the music playing sometimes. The burritos are huge.
