I visited Fry’s for the first time on a beautiful Saturday morning. The restaurant has an open-seating setup, allowing guests to choose their own table. The space was clean, and the inviting aroma of food greeted us upon entering.
Our waiter took our drink orders, but my experience with the coffee was less than ideal. The first mug I received was dirty, and when I asked for a replacement, I was given a tall to-go cup filled to the brim with hot coffee—so full that I couldn’t add cream or sugar. After requesting another option, I finally received a clean mug, which should have been provided initially. Unfortunately, the coffee itself tasted burnt.
Ordering was a bit restrictive, as no substitutions or modifications to menu items were allowed. For instance, swapping a regular pancake for a strawberry pancake was not an option. While the food arrived quickly, some elements were underwhelming—the ham was cold, and the syrup was standard bottled syrup rather than warm. On a positive note, the pancakes were enjoyable.
Overall, the experience was just okay. The food was average, and the coffee was disappointing.The waiter wasn’t helpful with suggestions, the lack of flexibility in ordering and a few missteps in execution left me feeling unsatisfied.

Speedy service, good hot homemade food.
Server was very attentive and answered our questions and did not flinch at my picky family!
Definitely a good back restraunt. The only issue was pricing but the serving balance the price. A family of 4 with 1 appetizer was $82 for breakfast. But it was very very worth it.

Fry’s Restaurant gives me diner kind of vibes but in the most family friendly, Texas kind of way. It’s very busy but I now know why. The food is GOOD. The portions are generous and the staff is beyond friendly and kind. Even when they were at their busiest, they remained upbeat and didn’t make us feel like they were in a hurry to get to the next table. I wish we would’ve discovered them sooner. We will definitely go back there. It’s one of those places where the locals of Belton know how great this place is, but are proud share it with its surrounding towns. Their menu has breakfast, lunch, and dinner items. I loved that they had every condiment you could want, already at the table.

Seemed like a nice clean place with fast friendly service. The chicken fried steak was above average. The briskets were a bit tough, gravy average. Hash browns were pretty good. Eggs prepared as asked. & were good. I will eat here again.

Small town place. Quiet setup building won’t really catch your eye. But inside you’ll find some honest good quality good. Chicken tenders are hand battered so that was nice. Breakfast is served all day. Service was good. Wasn’t too impressed with the menu but flavor wasn’t a disappointment. Portion sizes were good.

Paula was our server. She made the experience very enjoyable. She was super sweet and attentive to our needs. The food was great. Fish was HOT and fresh, the pancakes were fluffy, and the salad was HUGE. We’ll be returning.

Chipotle Burger – Beef Burger with Chipotle Sauce and Cheese served with Fries.
Country Fried Steak – Chicken Fried Steak, Mashed Potatoes with a Side Salad and Thousands Isle Dressing!
All food was good and hot. We will be back!

My first time here. The food was excellent . The service was outstanding. Note: Was approximately 1 pm today. Since frontage faces east, all windows had the blinds down. I could barely see, the lighting is very poor. I thought, let my eyes acclimate but still very low lighting.
Wow!! The food was excellent. A chicken fried steak almost covered the whole large plate. .mmmm. Also got a delicious CV lub sandwich and fries. Don’t get me wrong….I loved the restaurant . Will be going back again and again. I do recommend eating here, just be prepared for the low lighting. Update: 01 Feb, 2024. Lighting was good, staff friendly. But lunch is not so good. Ordered potato soup and onion rings. Soup tasted like leftover mashed potatoes and the onion rings tasted frozen. Update: 1 April, 2025. Enjoyed a wonderful meal today. Staff friendly. In and out.

Fry’s is absolutely delicious. The burgers, fries, onion rings and pancakes were 10/10. Service was top notch. Photos aren’t the best because we couldn’t wait to get started chowing down!
