Our founder Rusty Fenton’s dream was to bring the authentic taco stand experience to local communities and to become the neighborhood taco stand. The dream became reality when the first Rusty Taco opened in a converted gas station on Greenville Avenue in Dallas, TX in 2010. But Rusty Taco is more than just a place for street tacos. Rusty also believed in serving the community and creating a place where people from all walks of life can come together and feel welcome. We are passionate about what we do and keep our menu fresh and simple. Deliciously uncomplicated tacos crafted by hand with recipes created by our founder, who famously said: “Tacos are the Most Important Meal of the Day®”!

I normally don’t write reviews… but this deserved one.
I’m a DoorDasher, and today I was sent to Rusty Taco to pick up a huge order. I’m talking bags on bags. The crazy part? I was only getting paid $5 for it. Out of my own pocket, my own gas, long wait, the whole deal. I was honestly frustrated walking in.
But the moment I talked to the team there, everything changed.
Management – Chad and TC – were a whole vibe.
They listened, they cared, and they handled the situation like absolute pros. They didn’t have to do anything… but they did. They went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of, gave me complimentary gift cards, showed genuine appreciation, and made sure I didn’t leave feeling used or brushed off. That type of kindness is rare now days. The food smells amazing every time I walk in, the staff is fast, and the energy in the building is always good… but this? This hit different. They turned a stressful delivery into something positive, and honestly, that’s what customer service should be. Rusty Taco didn’t just care about their customer’s order! they cared about me, the person helping deliver it. I appreciate y’all more than you know. I’ll be back to use those gift cards soon — not just because the tacos slap… but because of the people inside that building.

Mmm tacos! They got you covered. My go to Taco place in Ohio. I’ve lived in California and Colorado and would go here even from those areas. Are there better tacos somewhere? Sure, but these always hit the right spot and when you want tacos you want tacos now! Don’t pass it up.

Visited that place this past weekend for the 1st time…..there was 3 customers inside when we came in BUT alot of the tables were still dirty or sticky….didn’t like that at all….SOMEONE could’ve wipe down those tables! Anyway the food was prepared rather quickly HOWEVER we had to send a bowl back for a remake because they had beans in it when we asked for NO BEANS. I was surprised that the nachos (for our macho nacho order) was not bland like so many other restaurant nachos!! And it was ALOT of nachos!!! That was a plus….I shared it with my daughter. The pork taco was ok….the meat seemed a little dry and I definitely don’t like the pineapple relish… or whatever that relish was. My daughter enjoyed her Green bowl (after the beans were removed)….all in all I would return there…..if only for the nachos! A sale is a sale right?

I tried rusty tacos a week ago and I really enjoyed it.
We got several tacos with different flavors and they were delicious except their chicken tacos. I would recommend getting the shrimp and steak tacos.
The strawberry margarita pitcher was so good.
The only inconvenience was that I wanted to try their:
– birria tacos
– dynamite shrimps tacos
– Nachos
And they didn’t have them. Some people that were ahead of us were able to get them. It was really a disappointment.
I would recommend trying this place.

This location is right by the University of Dayton and can get really busy. Today, tho, not so much.
Service was fast and friendly. My tacos came out fresh, hot, and tasty. Chips and chesse are a must. The fried chicken tacos with queso chesse and grilled fish tacos are my go-to, and both tasted great

The one reason I stopped at this location was because I just finished working out at YMCA and wanted something other than pancakes and sausages. Tacos in the morning sounded like a winner, and Rusty Tacos was on my radar, so why not?!
The staff handled a newbie with style. I ended up having four tacos, including their breakfast tacos. I also had frozen margaritas to sample the adult beverages. May I say I was pleased with the overall presentation and taste.
Also, the location I went to is on the edge of the University of Dayton. They are open to almost 2 or 3 in the morning. If I were a college student, I’d ditch Taco Bell and scrounge up some extra “dough ray mi” to get the Rusty Taco experience!

Small- chain tacos – good flavor good value. I grabbed two tacos – both Shrimp, Dynamite Shrimp Taco – Fried shrimp topped with slaw, jalapeno ranch and sriracha. Served on a flour tortilla.- and Baja Shrimp Taco -crispy shrimp, sauce, red cabbage. Definitely liked the Baja shrimp taco better. The sauce was so good. The dice on the Dynamite felt more like buffalo( not to my liking with shrimp )
The street corn was ok. It was probably canned sweet corn and cojita and cheese. It was dry and lacked any flavor. If I go back I’ll get a different side.

Great food, awesome friendly staff, clean place. I definitely recommend getting the rocoto taco but without the coleslaw. The queso dip is amazing, it’s creamy with rich flavour.
