I visited the Crystal Lake’s Culver’s twice in January (25 & 27) and twice in February (5 & 15). I am an avid fan of Culver’s and I have visited 45 locations in Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Missouri, Kentucky and Florida. As a resident of Crystal Lake I visit this Culver’s very regularly. The food was excellent and the service was quick. I definitely recommend the ice cream and the chicken. 5/5 I will definitely be back very soon. It is one of the most popular places in Crystal Lake so it was very busy we were there in the evenings but that never deters us. (Written 2-23-26)

Absolutely loved our visit to Culver’s in Crystal Lake! The food was fresh, delicious, and served quickly—everything you hope for in a great meal out. The restaurant was clean and welcoming, and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel at home.
A special shout-out to the assistant manager, Mar, whose leadership and warmth were clearly reflected in the entire team. Mar was attentive, professional, and genuinely kind—making sure every guest was taken care of.

The owners or managers should really invest getting their employees rain jackets, or umbrella on super rainy days as it was today. They older Hispanic gentleman was so kind and friendly, delivering my food and apologizing for my food bag being drenched in the rain.

Flew in last night from Las Vegas and on the way home my sister’s said I have to try the crispy chicken sandwich. Move over Chick fil-A, Culver’s has you beaten. There chickem was plump and juicy.-oh did I mention it was made fresh and tasty as H E double sticks at 9:50 pm at night.

Very nice atmosphere, music and food. Their North Atlantic Cod dinner w/fries and coleslaw is my favorite. Fish tastes so fresh and the coleslaw isn’t too sweet or sour. But their double butterburger w/cheese and fried onions is another fav. If you get a single you’ll be disappointed. It’s way too thin. I like their burgers b/c you don’t get that funny aftertaste w/their burgers. While I generally like lettuce and tomato on my burgers, their lettuce is horrible- could definitely take pointers from Portillo’s on that. And don’t expect the customer service as in Chick-Fil-A. Numerous servers went by and never offered to take our tray, lol, including the one that brought our custard desserts.

We dined in for a fundraiser for West Elementary (Go Wildcats!) and it was really very nice.
The staff were happy and joking.
The food was better than I have had in the past from Culver’s.
And the restaurant was very clean.
Maybe the bins were a bit overfull, which made bussing our table harder at the end. But that seems like a petty concern and certainly didn’t hurt our experience.

Food was great! The order taker was great on the tablet…very thorough, accurate, and efficient. The person delivering the food was surly. She didn’t bring my drink with the order and when I asked if I could please get my drink, she acted like I was really putting her out…no apology for the mistake she made and I felt like I was a nuisance to her.. Visited on Sunday, May 18 around 12:45pm.
