Visiting here from Denver, Colorado. The staff, Weston, was friendly, prompt and advised us on some yummy food. The mahi tacos were just right, the fish was perfect and delicious sauce.. The coleslaw needs some more spice. My granddaughter really liked her hamburger . Also, the lagoon drink was very good. I will go back here the next time we visit.

First visit here and I ordered the grouper fingers. The batter (I’m sure was homemade) was absolutely wonderful! The grouper was fresh and cooked to perfection! Then to top it off, the delightfully unique tartar sauce was such a nice surprise.
* I loved the the place as soon as I walked in and saw the Halloween decorations (I’m a HUGE Halloween lover) so it was no surprise that they would have fantastic food

First time visit to Ken and Barbs
Beautiful restaurant – big open room concept, canal views
Food:
Cobb Salad – huge and delicious, blue cheese dressing was homemade and chunky (hard to find)
Cranberry Chicken wrap – flavorful and a great portion
Beer cheese fries – cheese was bland and a disappointment (hoping for more beer or tangy cheese flavor). Fries were excellent on their own.
Mahi Tacos- pretty tasty but needed more sauce to moisten up the bites
Steak Bomb – delicious
Cappuccino cocktail – think alcoholic, coffee Slurpee (just ok, was too icey, not enough coffee flavor for me)
Definitely we’ll be back to try more menu items
We made an advance reservation for 6 and we’re seated right away

Wanted to get back to Ken and Barbs in the off season. We were seated immediately and soon had our drinks. I was looking for the Hawaiian lion but they no longer have this beer. The server was on top of things and was very friendly and polite. I had the shrimp and grits which was delicious, definitely would order again, nice and cheesy. My wife had a chicken salad wrap with she really enjoyed. She said her pasta salad was dry and would not get again. We will be back soon when my grandson comes for a visit. Thanks.
Back in November ‘25 looking for my shrimp and grits, new menu and it was gone. Disappointed. Ordered the meatloaf , it was very good but 1/2 a serving. Mashed potatoes were lumpy not very good. Needed to ask twice for water. We will try again and try something else. Plenty of empty tables but took 15-20 minutes for a table. It was not crowded.

Stopped for lunch while in town. Had large walk up area and big doors so wheelchair accessible. We were able to sit right away. They have a large open area with tons of tables and a large bar with lots of seating as well. They had tables outside on a patio too. We had a small table next to a front window. They had great options on the menu and a large drink menu as well. Our server was little off but the food was amazing! Such large portions! We had to take some home!

Our server was Catherine, and she was excellent!!! I had the Potroast Patty Melt and Fries, the sandwich was tasty, and the fries were oh so yummy. My husband had the Steak Bomb Sandwich and Onion Rings. The sandwich was a little dry, but the onion rings were out of this world. The portions were large. The restaurant is beautiful, and there’s tons of seating inside and out. The restaurant sits right on the water, and I would recommend sitting outside the view is absolutely stunning!!! I definitely recommend enjoying a meal and the view at this restaurant!!!

Stopped by today for lunch was not too busy seated by the hostess with a smile. sat down and was greeted by the waitress she said we’ll be right here. She came by It was Carla with a K not Carla with a C she let us know it’s with a K took our order and then we never seen her again. She never brought our waters as we asked for waters so we had to ask for waters a couple times. then when the appetizer came out, it was missing the pita bread and she came. and said oh well it was burnt so they had to make it again and then she had to come back out and give the carrots and celery with it. Not a big deal but after the meal was over, we sat there for an additional 20 minutes in the meantime, she never came back to the table. The hostess came asked if she wanted to clean our stuff and boxed up our food afterwards we received a bill from her and then never seen her again. the hostess had to come back and check us out. Absolutely horrible service food was good atmosphere is always good but service was a zero.

Went to Ken and Barbs last night for our first time. It was a decent wait, but that can be a good sign.
Drinks were ok. We had Rum & Cokes and Pina Coladas – nothing standout spectacular, but they kept us thirsty and kicked off the desired buzz.
Soups (tomato basil and NE Clam Chowder) were decent.
6 bone in wings were good. I’d bring my wings buddies here for sure. Nice sized and not too large (can’t stand steroid wings). Buffolo sauce was a nice heat. Personally, I’d like to see a super hot sauce option added, but I’m a spice fan and understand it’s not for everyone.
Dinner was the K&B burger: done correctly, but a bit messy. The bottom bun soaked up a bunch of patty oil so the burger fell apart – but taste and all other aspects were great. Added the Cajun fries which were nice.
Crab cake: patty was done very nicely. Tasted great, nice texture and good mix of flavors while being primarily crab meat.
Brie platter: cheese was definitely over cooked in our opinion – left a bit of an oily puddle in the pan. A bit less time on the heat would’ve been spot on. Otherwise the bread, condiments and actual cheese was very flavorful and well balanced.
In all – definitely will go back and try more items. Because of the storm recovery outside eating was still closed and inside was a bit cool, but we can’t hold that against the team trying to open up and being VERY community minded.
Final note – the staff is super awesome. From the greeters to the wait staff, everyone was engaging, patient friendly and did their best to make us feel at home.
Can’t wait to see everyone at Ken and Barbs soon!

1st time there today for lunch, simply outstanding food! Probably the best pastrami ruben I ever had and my wife’s steak sandwich was out of this world. Service was polite, professional and fast. Will definitely be back.

We were greeted kindly, the restaurant is beautiful inside. The fried Zucchini was fantastic. We both enjoyed our meals and portions were huge. Dessert was fantastic. The frozen drinks were tasty, and our server Jay was sociable, professional, and helpful.
