Have loved this place since I was a kid & it was in another location. If you want authentic Jewish cuisine that is a taste of traditional Eastern Europe, this is the place. The food is consistent and delicious. The only reason I didn’t give the food 5 stars is because they changed their knishes! New York style? No thank you! Bring back the original thin dough, filling packed ones w/ the caramelized onions on the potato variety. You were one of the few delis left who had the traditional versions, now you have cylindrical, dry, thick-doughed, bland knishes, with options that are fruit filled! Blueberry knishes? I think not. Otherwise, the soups are all noteworthy, the deli sandwiches are incredible, and the fish platters are all that you could want. I’m happy to say you still get a nice bowl of assorted pickles for the table, which are always fresh & crunchy. Big bonus is you can fill out a take out order & it will be prepared while you dine & waiting at the register when you check out. If you want real Jewish deli food, Ben & Irv’s is it. (Just skip the knishes)

Going here for years now… like 30 years… We all know how much we love Ben and Irv’s!!! Hands down… best all around. Moving to my experience. I’m traveling from South Philly to come here for My 45th Birthday lunch!!! Flat tire and little flustered upon arriving…late ( so sorry) also on a very busy Sunday afternoon. Every single one of the staff is classic A+++. I just took it all in. With nostalgia feels…Felt comfortable and all better. To see My family at ease. As they made our spot a safe space for us as a large party. Clean service. My excitement to see how you have stayed consistent all these years in your outstanding establishment. Thank you for all yous did…shout out to the young man who took our family pic. It’s being framed now… You should be a photographer honestly.

Ben & Irv’s is the best. Massive menu and yet I often up ordering the same thing because it’s so good. Very nice portions. Food is terrific. Comfort food of all kinds, including good authentic Jewish food. You’ll recognize many of the servers through the years. Place feels like family. Great service. Great food.

Ordered for delivery and food was cold. The cream chipped beef on toast was of course soggy after reheating, but also under seasoned. Home fries were fine and am sure could be better if fresh. I also ordered the cucumber salad to eat later which was not good.

Reuben sandwiches to go, a little too cheesy. Overall meat was cooked tender and had a nice roasted flavor. Pickle side was crunchy and not too sour. Matzah ball soup ok need to add own pepper if want some extra flavor.
Mixed cookies were a bit dry and chalky according to my family’s taste buds.
First time find; Will come back to try other things on the menu.

Had lunch there today with a friend. The food was delicious and the service was very good. It is a very busy place with a very large menu. The portions are very large, you definitely get your moneys worth. Just a little nosey. They also have a Deli you can buy things from. Definitely say give them a try if you are in the area. It was worth the 30 minute ride.

Been awhile since we’ve been here. Seated promptly. Menu prices are on the higher end compared to other similar restaurants in the area. BLT had very riped tomatoes, which made the sandwich good. The Monti Christo was ok. Honestly, the pickels were the best out of the whole meal, and they were free!

The whole ordering process was confusing for the kids. In addition, the burger didn’t taste good… I asked for a size M and got a WD. I asked to eat on the spot, and instead they packed me into a TA and when I asked to sit, they started making problems with me about being seated while the restaurant was empty…

Awesome…I use to go to the original store in the West oak Lane section of Philadelphia on Ogontz avenue with my dad as a kid then they closed and I found out they moved here years later. I had to come and get the best corned beef special sandwich I’ve ever had. The staff was super friendly especially the lady with the glasses at the cash register. I will definitely be back because the sandwich was good as it was when I was a kid!! …went again a few weeks later n my waiter Mike was super cool
