The menu is unapologetically robust, featuring hand‑cut sirloin steaks, prime rib, BBQ ribs, fresh seafood, and a well‑stocked salad bar. Standouts include the steak tips, French onion soup, and indulgent mud pie dessert. Portions are generous, and the kitchen consistently delivers comfort food that satisfies without pretense. Families will appreciate the kid‑friendly options, while groups can dive into hearty platters perfect for sharing.
Beyond the food, the Red Parka shines as an entertainment hub. Live bands on Friday and Saturday nights, plus solo performers on Sundays, transform the pub into a spirited gathering place. The ski‑town energy is palpable, with laughter, music, and clinking glasses creating an atmosphere that feels both rustic and electric. The staff, often praised for their friendliness and attentiveness, add to the sense of community and make guests feel like regulars even on their first visit.
Whether you’re craving a perfectly cooked steak, a casual drink with friends, or a night of music and camaraderie, the Red Parka delivers. It’s more than a restaurant—it’s a tradition, a place where stories are shared, and where the mountain spirit lives on long after the slopes close.
I ordered a bbq combo three way, and got one of each choice. Ribs, briquette and pulled pork.
1. Ribs were fatty but tastes good.
2. Brisket was excellent, hands down.
3. Pulled pork did not taste great, quite honestly it tasted nasty, and I love pulled pork, not sure if it’s the bbq sauce on it, do not recommend.
Order also comes with 4 Hush puppies, and those don’t taste great, kinda meh.
I tried dipping them with maple syrup, didn’t make a difference.
Mashed potato and cow slaw tasted good. Could have been better.
I also ordered an appetizer of chicken fingers.
They tasted delicious, excellent batter, but for $16 I expected a bigger portion.
I would recommend this: If you were to get the three choice option for the bbq combo, double up on the brisket and the third choice be the ribs.
My total for this order for the bbq 3 way and the appetizer of chicken fingers was $52.
Quite honestly if I had to rate this place out of 10 I would give it a 6.
The food was really good as well and the service was excellent!
