Simple sandwiches gone wrong. Not sure what’s changed at GD&G but my family and I dine here fairly often and the food is usually great. Today we ordered triple deckers and we were charged five bucks for 4 slices of smooshy “American” cheese. The onion rings used to be beer battered but are now just frozen flavorless onion rings. The coleslaw had no flavor either. The pickles…. I don’t know where they were, perhaps the delivery guy ate them on his way here…??? Kidding aside, the service from the delivery guy was on time and perfect.

There is nothing worse than going out to spend your money at a food establishment and getting stuck with a server that does not want to serve you. We visited today and had large party. The hostess was very sweet and did what she could to accommodate. It was a challenge and a bit uncomfortable to figure out seating but the two young ladies that assisted did their best.
Then, we had the unfortunate experience of having a server that walked to the table and did not greet or make eye contact. I wish I recalled her name but she was a young woman with blonde hair. She was cold, rude and impatient. She consistently spoke over us when we made requests, making it clear she had no intention of serving us with courtesy and respect.
My family frequently patronizes this establishment; and we typically enjoy the experience. We formally complained and really did not want her as a server and would much rather have had another. When I received my check and noticed the automatic 20% gratuity (due to the size of our party), it was clear why she stuck around.
I appreciate the other staff members that stepped in to assist and counteract her appalling behavior through their professionalism, kindness and patience. People that work in environments that attract all people should be adept at serving all people.

We’ve been coming here for the last year and have always enjoyed the experience! We usually come for breakfast and have always been greeted by nice waiters and employees. The food is terrific, we are regulars by now as well and we definitely feel welcomed when we come in! Dinner is awesome too; we’ve come a couple of times. One of the best diners in South Jersey!!! Cannot recommend them enough

Ordered the special Chicken Pot Pie and was absolutely delicious. The pastry topping was very light and fluffy. The pot pie was served piping lots of chicken and vegetables. The white sauce had a phenomenal taste compared to many other Chicken Pot Pies I have ordered at other restaurants. The special came with soup (French Onion for me) which was again very tasty and picture perfect presentation with the cheese on top. Topping off the special was there homemade bread pudding which was superb. My only complaint was I wish I had a bowl of the bread pudding it was that good but the large cup was perfect. Planning to return this week as their Chicken Pot Pie is on special both Thursday and Saturday.

Love this place! I’ve been coming here every weekend for months. The food is cooked with love and presented with care. Their specials are always unique and delicious. The staff goes above and beyond. They do an amazing job working as a team in creating a friendly, welcoming, warm environment. Cannot recommend this place enough. I’ll be back!

The chicken soup was good but I’ve had better for a lower price per bowl at other diners. The burger was one of the worst I’ve ever had. The service was terrible and very unwelcoming. A take it or leave it attitude from the staff. I’ll leave it. This place has changed a lot. I used to like coming here but I won’t be coming back ever again. Ate here Thursday the 27th. Holiday or not don’t begrudgingly let people in last minute and act ungrateful for their business. I could’ve simply got soups and sandwiches from Wawa and it would’ve been better than this. The new management has a lot to learn about business and the service industry.

The food was good. Nothing delicious, but a decent meal. My dad & I got a French Toast combo that comes with eggs any style and a choice of meat. The French Toast slices and bacon were really thin though, which was disappointing, because you don’t want to pay to still be hungry.
My mom said her burger tasted like a regular frozen patty that you’d buy at the supermarket.
Our waitress and the hostess were nice. It was empty with some good and some terrible 80s music playing, lol. We definitely wouldn’t go again. I can’t say this was a “bang for your buck” kinda place, and like I said- the food was decent but nothing I’d want again.

Great dining at a good location. Our New Year’s Breakfast of Eggs Benedict and Creamed Chipped Beef was delicious. Service was quick by the friendly staff. Booths and tables available for seating in a spacious and tastefully decorated design. Definitely a Must!
