Bernalillo NM… I had to repeat myself 3 times. The young man taking the order repeated back the order wrong on the drinks & I repeated myself once again. Got to the window, and was not greeted in any way, shape or form. As the girl started giving me the drinks, I mentioned the large drink was No Ice, she gave me attitude and throughout the drink & made it over & kept pushing the button which made it overflow (waste). When she opened the window to give me the drink, I started explaining it was ordered with No Ice. She literally gave me attitude in the middle of my explaining she shut the window on me. People like that have No Business working with customer service. One Nasty, Disrespectful & Rude Person. Called to speak to the manager, and she used the excuse, that the speaker is not working right. Not even the manager had the hospitality to apologize for her employees behavior. The drive up speaker has been a mess for many years and nothing has been done to make it right. It takes a lot to make me angry and I wouldn’t normally post like this, but, when you get rude behavior and disrespect like this, it really pisses me off.

Non-existent service here. Drive through lane was slow and not moving so I pulled into a stall. Pushed the button to place order but waited and waited and waited but no one answered to take my order. I waited over 10 minutes and call button was never acknowledged so I left. If you value your time, you are better off going somewhere else. This wasn’t even at a busy time of day, it was around 2:30 PM.

Waited longer than an hour for 1 meal and two drinks! Pressed the button hoping for some reassurance our food was not given to the wrong car waited another 10 minutes for an answer… when finally a young girl spoke up and said we were being rude when we were definitely not. Terrible customer service

Tried to give this place another chance after being disappointed before and had the rudest service ever. We left because we’re not going to be treated like a burden. If you don’t like your job quit, don’t take it out on customers for ordering food at a fast food place.

Slow!!! I have yet to go to this and get it is less than 15 minutes. To make things worse, the food was cold when I received it and there wasn’t even an apology for the wait. It is readily apparent that they are woefully understaffed.

I ate here with my buddy and took some pictures of our cars together. I got the Triple Sonic Smasher, my first time trying it. This has got to be one of my favorite burgers. The only thing I didn’t like is while I was hanging out me my buddy, we asked for refills. They just looked at us, I got a Dr Pepper. So they don’t do refills… I’ll keep in mind to get a drink from McDonald’s because I know McDonald’s doesn’t do that to me.

We just left because we went to the stall, pressed the button, and waited for 10 minutes with no response. When we arrived there was not another car in the drivethru or at the stalls. No one took our order. Another car pulled into the stall right next to us and their order was taken immediately. Meanwhile, the employees were looking out the window at us and not doing anything. I’m also pretty sure they were smoking in the kitchen, which is just unacceptable.
By the time we left they had a line at the drive thru and about 4 cars in the stalls. Without any response from the staff.
They saw us and still failed to serve us. At that point, we just drove off. We will not be returning. Extremely disappointed. Just note thay if you come to this location you will leave empty handed.

Stopped by while on vacation and after placing the order, we waited 35 minutes for the food to arrive but, when it didn’t arrive after 35 minutes, we left and went to Macdonalds, where we were given food, right away. I would avoid this place if you can and don’t want to wait an hour or longer to eat. It’s called a “fast food” restaurant, not “wait an hour for food” restaurant.

This is the newest and worst Sonic in town. This Sonic is near my home and off the freeway (great location!), so I keep giving them more chances and keep getting burned. 6 times out of 7, I’ve had a bad experience. Orders are incorrect often, and the staff couldn’t care less. The food or drinks usually don’t taste the same as other locations, and today I waiting in line in the drive-thru for 25 minutes, after ordering 3 drinks, and I just gave up and left. No more chances!

This location needs to work on their hiring practices and obviously needs to pay their employees more. This location always seems to be short staffed. It is not uncommon for them to shut down the stalls or the drive through as they never have enough employees working. It is not uncommon to have to wait close to half an hour for your order or longer if it is anything beyond a simple drink. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this place if you were on a time crunch or if you had other things to do with your day. If you like sitting around doing nothing wishing you had the sense to order elsewhere then this is the place for you. This is not recent for the past 10 years this sonic has been consistently bad service.
Edit: over one year later, showed up for a drink and a snack after placing an app order only to see that all the stalls were closed and the line wrapping around the building. Asked if they could just cancel and refund my money to which they replied they could not. This place service is absolutely abismal jokes on me for forgetting and giving them another try.
