My husband took me to this Black-owned vegan spot in Nashville, TN during my birthday weekend. We had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Bettina, who had been to our restaurant, The Land of Kush, a couple of years prior. We chose from the brunch menu. I had the peaches and cream pancakes , scrambled tofu with cheese, grits, and sausage. My husband had the banana pancakes, scrambled tofu, sausage and fries. Our beverages were sorrel and mango tea. The food and drinks were delicious. The owner was pleasant and friendly. We had the option to sit indoors or outside. We chose the intimacy of indoor seating. We will definitely return to this spot. It was truly a blessing .

Great experience here, excited to come back soon! I had the Soul Chik Plate Hot. Everything was very tasty, with the standouts being the fries (really well seasoned) and the hot “chicken” (nice spice level and good texture). I’ll plan on trying some desert next time The staff were very friendly, and the outdoor seating was a nice touch, especially with the good weather we had.

so happy i found this place! delicious, seasoned vegan soul food. got the hot chicken plate and cheesesteak. both were big, flavorful, hot, fresh, juicy, and perfectly salty.
mac n cheese and greens were also lovely, and the fries were piping hot and crispy with creamy interior.
owner (i presume) was kind and provided excellent service. also the playlist was amazing (erykah badu, al green, summer walker, childish gambino).

The Nashville Hot Chicken and sweet potatoes were delicious. I tried the pineapple and strawberry cheesecakes. Both gluten free. Both were pretty good. This location has a small indoor dining area and a larger outdoor eating area.

I ordered the Soul Food Plate which came with Succulent vegan macaroni and cheese, barbecue chick’n, collard greens and a roll! I also got the Ginger Beer as well! I tore this plate all the way up! it was soooo flavorful and delicious!! The staff was so friendly and welcoming! I will definitely come back when I go back to Nashville for sure!!

Had the soul food plate and it was so delicious! Great to have healthier, super tasty food after watching my friends eat BBQ. one of my friends ordered a side of the yams and said they were the best she’s ever had. Came back for the hot chicken sandwich next day! Weather was perfect for sitting outside at the picnic tables under the tent. Thanks for the good food!

Service was kind, gracious, and on the mark. Even though plant based, the food is for everyone. Don’t pass up just because its not right on Broadway. Its worth the 5 minute trip.

I was confused on how to get in and it was hard to spot. Great customer service. I ordered the soulfood plate and lasagna with a side of dressing. My total was about $50. The food did t agree with my taste buds. The yams and dinner roll were the two best things. The greens and chicken had a strong vinegar taste. The macaroni tasted like throw up. The dressing was decent but lacked seasoning/flavor.

Traveled into Nashville and looked into the best place for vegetarian hot chicken. Found this place and it was awesome. Everything was delicious especially the vegan chicken. Probably some of the best vegan food I’ve ever had. We got there a bit close to closing time, but the woman working was so friendly and accommodating. Cute atmosphere inside and out, too!

Coming from Alabama, this was definitely a delicious treat. Got the Hot chikn soul food plate. I’d rate the collard greens a 5. Chikn a 4 and Mac n cheese a 4. Haven’t come across too many soul food spots that are vegan. If you’re ever in Nashville they’re definitely worth the experience, service was fast and hostess was friendly.
