This place used to be good. Quality is bad. They only care about taking customers’ money. Service sucks also. This Jamaican owned establishment doesn’t even make you feel welcome, unlike other similar restaurants I’ve visited in the area. The atmosphere feels congested. I believe that they were doing some remodeling. I doubt that I will be coming back here any time soon

The overall experience at Donna’s Caribbean Restaurant in Lauderhill is a whole vibe. The employees are friendly and provides top notch customer service. I recently visited this location and Ms. Terry-Ann exceeded my expectations by offering to freshly make 2 brown stew fish in the kitchen. It was late in the evening so most of the food was already packed away and there was initially no more brown stew fish available. I visited this location the previous night and there was also no brown stew fish so Ms. Terry-Ann remembered me. Not sure if Ms. Terry-Ann is related to Ms. Donna or just an exceptional employee but she deserves recognition for all her efforts.
I have been coming to this locations since I was a teenager and the food has always been great. I question the motive of the other folks that are leaving 1 star to bring down the ratings for this location. I no longer reside in Florida but always stop by Donna’s when in town. Donna’s, thanks for all your authentic cuisines over the years!! Blessings.

Worse porridge I’ve ever had. It tasted like sweet water. They seem to have added water and condensed milk to stretch it. That wasn’t porridge that was sweet soup and who made the porridge today July 7th needs to be trained on how to make proper porridge. We brought 2 and ended up throwing it away I recorded a video but I am unable to upload to show how watered down it was.

If I could give this location ZERO STARS I would. Got recommended by a work friend to try Jamaican food. Google provided 3 in my area and I CHOSE THE WRONG ONE. The workers we so rude, aggressive in their tonre and out right disrespectful. Don’t go to this location. If you are in the area of University and Commercial go to Golden Crust which is after you pass Commercial on the immediate left. I went there after and the service and food was fantastic. My first time trying Jamaican food and it was delicious.

The food was ok. The price was ridiculous $5 for a small cup of soup with one piece of meat in it. The food was full of gravy, the plantains were tough as a rock they weren’t edible at all. The goat was ok, the rice was less than usual as well as the veggies.

Customer Service is poor. I called the phone and let me tell the person answer the phone as if i was literally begging her something. She didn’t even mentioned the company name i had to ask if this Donna’s Restaurant? “She replied yes mam.”

I used to only go to this Donna’s even though Dutch pot is right around the corner I favored this Donna’s but for some reason the last couple of times that I have went the food just simply was not good. I don’t know if they changed the recipe for oxtail to try to compete with Dutch pot but it is completely not worth it anymore they raised their prices and they don’t even have a small size for oxtail anymore the only reason that I am giving it a two star is because the mac and cheese was really good but oxtail had no flavor rice was not good at all and $18 for a medium is completely off the wall when it use to be $10.99

Wide variety of authentic Jamaican dishes, drinks, desserts, tea and coffee on the Brunch menu from 8am-2:30pm. Like escoveitch fish, callaloo, mackerel run down, yam, festival, bammy, dumpling, chocolate tea. Carrot juice, sour sop etc.
