Taj Palace is a bona fide Indian restaurant in Interlaken, Switzerland. Its conveniently located and is run by a hospitality professional who received his training from some of the best chefs in New Delhi.
We ordered Chicken Tikka, Butter Chicken, Tandoori Chicken, Daal Makhani, Palak Paneer , Chicken Kofta, Garlic Naan, Cheese and Chilli naan along with Mango Lassi. The food is prepared fresh, is exceptionally delicious, the flavours are robust and spice levels can be adjusted upon request. In our experience the food on each of the three occasions that we dined there, was at par with 5 star standards for Indian cuisine. The owners are extremely polite, courteous and thorough professionals. If you are in Interlaken and are searching for Indian food- look no further!

I had an amazing dining experience at this Indian restaurant in Interlaken. Everything from the food to the service was absolutely top-notch.
We tried Mutton Curry, Mutton Karahi, Palak Paneer, Chicken Biryani, Garlic Naan, Methi Paratha, Onion Kulcha, Aloo Paratha, and Mango Lassi — and every single dish was full of authentic flavors and perfectly cooked.
The mutton dishes were tender and rich in taste, the biryani was aromatic and well-balanced, and the breads were fresh, soft, and delicious. The Mango Lassi was refreshing and a perfect way to end the meal.
Great taste, generous portions, warm hospitality, and a very comfortable atmosphere.
Highly recommended for anyone craving authentic Indian food in Interlaken. I will definitely visit again!

Wow, this place is a hidden gem. Seriously, I do not understand why this restaurant was empty on a Thursday. Food is amazingly tasty and covers the geographics of india food you desire. Service lovely professional. Ambience soft. Music so soothing. I felt I was having fine dining at an economical price. Very good for singles couples and families

Another home run for desi food in Switzerland. Amazingly authentic food, the tandoori fish is by far the best I’ve had ever! Melts in your mouth! Marinade for tandoori dishes was through and through(we got the platter), we finished every single thing we ordered! Highly Recommend!

Off season visit to this wonderful restaurant a short walk away from Interlaken West railway station. The meals were seasoned to our individual preferences, and our 2 year old was well looked after by the owner and front of house. We ordered tomato soup, pulao and biryani. We were in a hurry to leave and had requested to pack the food. The food was packed so well and neatly that it remained piping hot even after 1hr.
