We had a lovely meal here. The food is beautifully presented and delicious. Nice to have some different choices, I particularly enjoyed my dosa. Our waitress was charming and clearly really cared about us having an enjoyable evening.

Stopped by last night (31st Jan) with some friends. Have visited several times before. Always very well presented food. Quality is high too. We had a mixture of dishes & as a groove we feel it’s very good value for money. Could do with some more “traditional” poppadoms & a selection of sauces to what is served usually. That’s my only improvement. Thanks you for a nice meal.

Went tonight for my partners birthday. Service was quick to start but slowed over time but there was a big table in so understandable. I personally didn’t like the chicken korma, never tasted a korma like it but that might be personal preference. There were no popadoms tonight either which is very strange for an Indian restaurant and really something everyone looks forward too. Starters and drinks were lovely, especially the zinfandel rose! Could do with a different beer on tap.

We really enjoyed our time at Kaveri. The food was delicious and portion size was great. We tried the Lauki Jhinga (Tiger Prawns) and Lamb Ceylon Chili Garlic. The Prawns were perfect. The staff recommended Kaveri Nadan Chicken for starter and we were not disappointed. Sowaiyan and Macy were incredibly knowledgeable, personal yet professional. Would absolutely recommend as we will be returning.

I don’t know how we missed it for so long in Essex! We have recently returned from our India trip and their dosas and signature curries paired with best wine were as delicious they were in India and super authentic. We were raving about the taste and the spice mastery this chef has created – awesome, definitely recommend and we will be back soon. Their decor and ambience is so good.

We had such a beautiful dining experience! Mercy provided outstanding service from start to finish — she was warm, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. She suggested the Ceylon Chilli Garlic, which was absolutely delicious and full of lovely flavour. The lamb biryani was even better — perfectly cooked, rich, and incredibly tasty.
Overall, beautiful service and amazing food. Thank you, Mercy, for making our visit so special. We’ll definitely be back!

Had a fantastic experience at Kaveri in Colchester! The food looked incredible and tasted amazing from the tender lamb shank to the juicy tandoori dishes everything was full of flavor. The presentation was beautiful, the staff were welcoming, and the atmosphere was lovely. I’ll surely be visiting again definitely one of the best Indian restaurants in Colchester.

Truly excellent food in a really lovely setting, with an actual segment of the Roman wall making up part of the interior (apparently about 1,800 yrs old).
As others have said, service was friendly but should definitely be quicker, and they need to play better music (the worst of 00s pop music when we visited) but the food being the main event was really really good. Starter portions are generous and the duck curry was delicious. Would definitely recommend.

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience here—hands down the best South Indian food I’ve had in the UK (in my experience). The presentation was spot on, the portion sizes were generous, and every dish was bursting with flavour. We had the Coconut Mutton Fry starter, Lamb Biryani, Mutton Kothu Parotta, and Thengapaal Tharavu (duck curry), followed by the Rasmalai Tiramisu for dessert. Everything was absolutely delicious!
