Dinner at the Royal Mile before a show.

The Fish and Chips were recommended and decided to give it a try. The fish is very good flaky cod and the ends were crispy and good. The center was very oily and the breading fell off. I feel like if they did smaller pieces it would be better. I like crispy, flaky, with minimal grease. I want the breading to stay with the fish and this just didn’t check those boxes. It just wasn’t the best I have had, good, but not great. Comparing to The Bank in Ireland it just didn’t hit. For an English Place I really wish they also had traditional mushy peas which are fantastic. The French Fries were just Ok.

The place wasn’t very busy and the service was good. Would try other food if in the area.

Fiance and I arrived at 7:30 on a Fri night. We were seated right away. Service was exceptionally fast. Food was amazing. Best Fish and Chips I’ve had in a very long time. Not soggy, crispy, flakey Cod. Delicious. My fiance had the Roast Beef sandwich. For starters we had the spinach & artichoke dip.

We enjoyed our team here. We delicious Guinness beers on draft and tried a few different appetizers which were all good. I really liked the poutine and my dad loved the scotch egg. My hubby got The Earl sandwich which was huge and he said it was very good!

One of my favorite spots in downtown DSM. Cozy pub with an insane Scotch selection. Collin and staff are rehearsed and very knowledgeable about the selection and can walk you through recommendations.

Came in on a recommendation when in town for a conference and brought 7 friends with me. I called ahead for a reservation and was told one wasn’t needed. We wound up with a perfectly fine table right in the bar area.

Appetizers were all quite good. The consensus at the table was that the Reuben egg rolls may have been the most unique and the most tasty of the bunch.

For dinner I had their Steak & Guinness pie for dinner. Basically a pot pie but a bit more. The steak was fully cooked but still tender. Nice vege and a hearty gravy combined with a flaky crust to create a plate of deliciousness.

Don’t look past some of their more off-the-wall offerings. Lots of good stuff on their menu that isn’t a burger and fries!

Good food with a British flare. Great desserts. Seating on main level and upper level.

The Nicous salad was great. Fish is greasy but good. Usually everyone likes their choice.

Cute pub with great service! Our waitress was super helpful and I liked her recommended meals and sides (even though I didn’t follow them-haha). I had a mulberry mule and we had split a scotch egg for an appetizer. It was good- first time and I enjoyed it quite a bit. The Cornish Pasty was great and the cucumber salad was interesting. Great atmosphere, really enjoyed a great birthday meal. Highly recommend you give it a try.

It’s a nice sports bar, but much more, that serves excellent food. Not your normal fried bar food – although some of that is available.
We were able to sit at the bar and were attended to right away.
Staff was friendly
Prices were $ to $$
Restrooms were clean
Indoor and outdoor seating (weather permitting)
See the menu in the photos.
I great place to stop in on a chilly Sunday.

I stopped in to the Royal Mile tonight to pick up a “to go order.” I ordered the Chicken Pot Pie, Mac and Cheese, and Shepherds Pie. The Chicken Pot Pie was delicious! OMG, that gravy for the pot pie! Yum! I took a bite of the Shepherds Pie and the Mac and Cheese and they were both good too. I don’t think you could go wrong with anything you order.

My wife had the turkey club sandwich with fries. I had the turkey pot pie. Both were hot when served and these tasted good. The server was nice and took our order correctly as we received the food as we requested. The food is English pub food, burgers, sandwiches, with an English flair!
