We visited on a September Friday for lunch. No wait for a table. I ordered their onion soup and house salad. The onion soup was very yummy, I really enjoyed it. The House salad was a nice compliment to make sure I was full enough, but still light enough for exploring. My husband had their daily special steak tip wrap, which he really enjoyed.
It’s a cool building, we enjoyed the ambiance as well. They do have a couple of outdoor tables, but we decided to sit inside.

From start to finish, everything was perfect. Our waitress Kamryn was AMAZING — so friendly, attentive, and genuinely made us feel welcomed and taken care of.
The food was outstanding… honestly a 10 out of 10/ 1,000 out of 1,000 Every bite was incredible.
We truly love it here and can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend to anyone looking for great food, great vibes, and top-tier service!

Great menu. We tried it because it is own by brazen hen in Westerly. They did not disappoint. Generous portions so much we took leftovers home. Great beer and cider selection. Nestled right on the strip so there are opportunities to shop and walk the boardwalk even in winter. We definitely will be back

Food was great! Our service on the other hand was pretty awful. We arrived during what seemed like the dinner rush, and our server was already wearing her jacket like she was ready to leave, and at one point we thought she might’ve, as when waiting for the check, she was MIA for 20 minutes. She didn’t refill our drinks or even ask if we needed anything else, even though our drinks were empty before we finished our appetizers. Everything was delicious, but the poor service would definitely make me think twice about returning.

It was packed when we walked in, but they got us a table in under 5 minutes. The wait staff was extremely attentive, and the atmosphere was so warm and cozy on a cold, drizzly night. I loved the way they used the original makeup of the building and just added their own flare. The drink menu was extensive, and the specials were not your ordinary run of the mill. The regular menu wasn’t huge either, but the choices were a great selection. I love pub style food and that’s exactly what they offered. The onion soup was piping hot when served but delicious along with my Cobb salad. My husband Caesar salad was also delicious and so fresh and crisp, and it was the first time we’ve ever had crunchy chick peas. They added extra texture to the salad. Our entrees were cooked exactly how we ordered, and the flavors were spot on. We will definitely be heading back for another meal!

Very very nice experience at the black sheep. We visited it for the first time when we visited last year. Everyone in our group were very impressed with the food and service. This time when we were coming back from Massachusetts to New Jersey, everyone’s suggestion was to take a 2 mile deviation and visit the black sheep again. As anticipated the food and service were exceptional. Thank you Black sheep team.

We stopped here for dinner tonight during our travels today and enjoyed the great food, beverages and atmosphere of this pub. We ordered the corned beef and Shepards pie which were great. The corned beef sandwich was the best I’ve ever had. The staff were great! Thanks for a nice relaxing evening after a hectic day of traveling.

Sat outside. The waitress was sweet, but it took an hour for the food to come out. The food was not good. Shepard’s pie was in a sauce that tasted like Chef Boyardee. The steak tip special didn’t look nice and didn’t taste good. The fried mozzarella had no cheese inside and was burnt to a crisp. Busgirl was just dumping full unfinished waters on the ground splashing it everywhere. This food messed my stomach up for 2 days. Be near a bathroom 20 mins after you leave.

Sometimes they do not have enough staff for a busy lunch hour, so if you’re in a rush, this might not be the spot. But for a consistently comfortable experience, great food, and casual atmosphere, this is the spot. We eat here almost every time we are in Niantic.
