A solid stop on the path of the hungry traveler, this was.
The buffalo chicken wrap and the parmesan tots were strong with the flavor side of the Force. The wrap was well-balanced with just the right kick, and those parmesan tots were crispy, seasoned, and impossible to ignore—exactly what bar food should aspire to be.
The calamari, however, wandered off the intended course. It leaned heavily toward jalapeños and peppers, with only a few very small calamari rings making an appearance. Not terrible, but if you come seeking calamari, you may feel the balance was… off.
The staff, thankfully, restored harmony. Friendly, attentive, and on point throughout the visit, they made sure the experience stayed positive even when one dish missed the mark.

Nice atmosphere, plenty of staff, staff was friendly and looked good. Bathroom was clean and kept well. Menue was ok to good. The food was just ok. The portion size was small to medium, the taste was not exciting.
Nothing to bring you back for another visit. I think if they stepped up the food it could be a great place. They seemed to be busy.. maybe that all works for most.

So I go to Wood-n- tap Vernon to enjoy one of my favorite dish, calamari. I recently noticed that there is more peppers than there is calamari makes me wonder. Should I order peppers with calamari in it? I mean seriously. Going to wooden tap in Hartford and my dish was great. What is the difference between both places? Wood-n-Tap Vernon, we gotta do better on some dishes for Tappy Hour.

Our second Wood-n-Tap location (Wednesday April 23, 2025 @ 4:30pm) visited this month. As soon as we entered staff was friendly, attentive and we went for the happy hour.
My wife and I arrived 15 minutes before the couple joined us (we ordered drinks) and our server without hesitation came to the table immediately to ask for drinks and additional orders. The attention was superb. No down time. The sangria and margaritas definitely worth the visit.
All the food we ordered was good tasting and plenty. The nachos with chicken and beef perhaps the best we’ve had in a while.
Most certainly making it back the next time we are in the area.

What an amazing place ! We had corn chowder, apple, pear, baby kale salad and flatbread with spinach and artichoke! Everything was freshly made and tasted very good. Server was nice! Enjoyed our dinner very much on Friday.

Service was good , ordered fish and chips , served 2 small pieces that didn’t even look like they were fried that day , very dry , and barely a handful of sweet potato fries which there was an up charge. Left very hungry still. The only thing that would possibly bring me back is the service and beer selection.

Parking is always difficult. However we did not have to wait for a booth which was a plus. Very pleasant waiter but more frequent visits to our table would’ve been appreciated. Cobb salad was excellent!
