We have been here before for breakfast and it was jam packed that time and the staff worked so very well even them working in overdrive mode. This time we showed up at 11:00 and it was not packed but by the time we left it was getting pretty busy. The staff were still great and good conversationalist and I appreciate that. They make you feel like family here. The portions were large and my sweetie took home a little half of it as there was too much for her to eat.

We go often specifically for the beignets- they are amazing! The rest of the breakfast food is average for a small breakfast place (never been for lunch), and they have many fun mimosa flavors. The waitresses have always been kind and polite. This is not a place to sit and loiter – they are very busy and fill up quickly, so service is quick and you get your bill efficiently. Lovely outdoor seating when the weather is nice!

When we arrived the restaurant was busy. We were told it would be 20 to 30 minutes. Which was fine. Ended up being 40. Mind you they close at 2:30. We were seated at 11:50. We ordered an appetizer, entree and dessert. Plus ordered a dessert to go. We finished our meal at 1:00. As soon as we put our last bite in our mouths are plates were cleared. Finishing our coffee a second waitress came to out table and started picking up the rest of our table, straightening salt and pepper etc. My friend looked at her and said are you wanting us to leave or something? She looked at her and said, “Well, that is how we make our money” Food was great, didn’t mind the wait, but her comment was uncalled for.

Food was good, a clean and comfortable little place, with homemade desserts. My only issue was I ordered an appetizer, and my meal came out 2 minutes later, which kind of ruined the whole reason buying the appetizer. Such is my luck. It’s definitely worth stopping in….

We got the normal Hamburger with cheddar cheese and fish and chips. I got potato wedges and the wifey got fries. Y’all this was DELICIOUS. Hand battered fish and I think fries were too! Not a bad wait on a not busy day. Maybe 10 min at most after ordering. Staff is very friendly and attentive.
The chocolate fudge pie was real good too!Definitely worth it!

Hours are 7-3 but they stop seating at 2:30!!! Don’t miss this info

Wow – what a great place! My wife and I stopped in for breakfast today based on some recommendations. This is a fantastic family place for a weekend meal! So many happy people enjoying themselves. I had a great chicken fried steak (the steak was very good) and my wife had the omelet with bacon & spinach. She loved her potatoes. The marble rye bread was very good also. I highly recommend this place for a great breakfast/lunch. The staff was VERY friendly and helpful.

My wife and I are visiting the area from across the valley and we had never been to the orchard house. We got there right at 11 AM when they start serving lunch so we went from thinking breakfast to immediately thinking lunch. It wasn’t a hard switch because it smelled amazing in there

So we both ended up having burgers and the cook was nice enough to load mine up with a bunch of jalapeños, and it was great. Their fries and tater tots are amazing.

I like that it’s got a side of the highway Café type of feel. They have knickknacks all around for sale and delicious pies and cobblers and cookies under the glass while you wait to get seated. We’re definitely coming back! ❤️

Came on a Saturday afternoon and had Jessica as our waitress. From the get go she had awful customer service. She answered questions very clipped and with a tone that said she couldn’t be bothered to help as our waitress. When we first got to the table, we didn’t have enough chairs so I just asked if I could have another chair as we didn’t have enough seating (I’ve done this at many other restaurants, and surprise to say, they’ve always accommodated us pleasantly). She answered in a very clipped voice saying, “no, you can’t” without helping to offer a solution. Then, when it came to order our drinks, before I could let her know what drink I wanted, she just walked away and left the table for quite a while before coming back. When asking about the wine and what else they had to offer, I got a “look at the cocktail menu”. I was never shown a cocktail menu and she realized she had never shown me or the table the cocktail menu. That was just the start of our meal and I could go on which I won’t for the sake of my blood pressure. From start to finish, she was one of the worst waitresses I’ve ever had. Needless to say, I’ve had much better service at an IHOP. Not worth it due to the lack of customer service.

On recommendation of a friend in Tahoe we stopped by for breakfast on the way through the area and we’re so impressed with this easy to miss gem. Possibly the best breakfast ever, definitely the best raspberry marzipan scone in the world. Bought a Marion Berry pie which we’ll share later, but it is a thing of beauty. Delightful friendly service, clean and charming place not to be missed.
