A rustic setting, with unique decor but everything is comfortable with plenty of space. I ate the sampler to try the many options as I have not been here in a few years. The food is still amazing! Would recommend for anyone going out with friends or in a group; or if alone looking for dinner while in town on travel. There are wallet friendly options or more expensive meals. Cannot go wrong with anything on the menu, in the five or so times I have eaten here, never have I been disappointed!

Ok food
Coleslaw was dry
No pickles or vinegar overall in the dishes
Brisket was tasty but dry
Pork was sweet but good
The wet napkins on the table were old, avoid them, grabbed some which were dry and some that stank

We stopped after a visit to the national park Crate site. The food was amazing. The ribs and pulled pork sandwich were both tasty.
The highlight tho was the Moon Fry for desert. A deep fried moon pie with a Caramel glaze and ice cream. It tastes as good as you’d think, actually a lot better. Worth the trip on its own, but do try the BBQ also.

Not worth the hype and to be honest I don’t know why there is any hype. The food was terrible. I ordered a sampler plater and was highly disappointed. There was no flavor in anything that I ate. Literally nothing is seasoned, it’s just cooked and slathered in a mediocre sauce. The sausage has a tough skin and no flavor just spice. The chicken drum stick had no flavor or seasoning just sauce. The rib was tender but no seasonings just sauce. The slider was ok but again no seasoning. The Mac and cheese can recommend by a co worker and was the most disappointing Mac and cheese I’ve ever tried. It reminded me of craft Mac and cheese but overcooked, mushy, dry and oddly spicy, like someone decided to put cayenne pepper in it. I also got Kyle and black bean, no flavor or taste at all. I honestly to a bite of each items and threw it all in the trash.

We got the Cue balls which was like cheese and jalapeños ( but not spicy), mac balls which is fried Mac n cheese, and then the brisket nachos. The cue and Mac were really tasty! Love the green sauce it comes with. Nice appetizer and unique item. The brisket on the nachos were delicious but otherwise the dish itself was too plain Jane. No sauce just too many dry chips that didn’t get eaten. Would be nice to have some more flavor in there or at least some pico de gallo salsa. Otherwise it’s a nice spot. Cozy and cool atmosphere for a quick bite! Updating my review to show more recent pics (last pic) of the sample platter! It was good! The sweet potatoes have a unique flavor. Pretty good I think it’s same in the Q balls.

Good BBQ in a relaxed spot with friendly service. The brisket and pulled pork were flavorful and not over-sauced, and the fresh pork rinds were a standout – light, crunchy, and perfectly seasoned. Sides were solid, especially the coleslaw and French fries. The mac balls were crispy and served with smooth tangy delicious sauce, but itself is a bit bland. Worth the stop.

We were on a trip and saw the name on Google and it sounded interesting. Stopped by and oh this will be our new stop when we are headed north. Such a nice flavor, a little unique in a good way. The sampler is the best value. After they brought it out, my teenage son who said he wasn’t hungry, immediately ordered one as well. Great service, very friendly staff. You won’t be disappointed.

Shared a delicious meal here yesterday with my friends John and Mila-Jane who were visiting from Hampton Roads. To be honest, when John picked Saucy’s for the restaurant choice, I almost suggested he choose another place based on past experiences with takeout orders my boss has gotten from Saucy’s (my co-workers and I just didn’t share his love of their food).
Well, I’m glad I gave Saucy’s another chance. One of the big differences for me is that I finally got to have their fries hot and crispy from the fryer. If I hadn’t ordered the platter, I would’ve eaten them all first. I also sampled my friends’ potato salad and mashed sweet potato sides and they tasted a lot like my homemade versions.
The other surprise was my side of kale and black beans. I was expecting something salty and/or vinegary, not the somewhat sweet flavor from the onions in this dish. Everything else on my platter was yummy and perfectly cooked too. I chose the beef brisket for my slider since pork and chicken were covered by the sausage, rib and drumstick. But even now, I cannot pick a favorite; my mouth is watering for them all!
Now, if you’re thinking about giving Saucy’s a try, bear in mind that the entrees do NOT include sides unless stated in the description. My friends’ slider trios plus 1 side cost about the same as my platter which had the 2 sides. Plus, I had enough left over for my dinner. (To quote my jr high algebra teacher, “A word to the wise is sufficient.”)

Went during a later lunch on Saturday, not very busy but lots of space if they were. Compliments to the chef that put this menu together, not an average Mac cheese, and your bbq. I was very impressed on how detailed they had the flavor in each bite across the plate, fennel in the sausage good notes that paired well. Not to mention the variety of sides available to choose from each meal, lots of places always have potatoes, or a single starch. But there was many from the saucy slaw (amazing), kale and beans, and many more. Look forward to enjoying more BBQ from here when the craving calls!

Overall I enjoyed this place and recommend it. It was a beautiful day so we sat on the patio. We had great service and enjoyed our time here. The food was pretty good. However, I’m from KC so I’m a little bias when it comes to BBQ I recommend their ribs and their chicken. Potato salad was some of the best I’ve had! I was very disappointed with their sausage. It was cold, not cut, and not good. Beer is very expensive – 7.50 for a pacifico.
