Absolutely fabulous meal. I had a toasted ham and cheese salad, with side salad and fries. Very warm hospitality, made us feel welcome. Was clean, food was great and a lovely find. Highly recommend.

Wow. The absolute best dining experience I’ve had in this region. The food was SUPERB. The entrecot was perfectly cooked, the local potatoes were rich and creamy. It’s a pity it’s called The French. One would think it’s a french standard. No it’s not. I gave two stars because they were open. Which is miracle in Issoire on Sunday lunch. That’s it for the praise.
Only option for kids is croq Monsieur.
Waitress decided to be nice : Who are you? Her way to react for foreign accent….
For my suprise that there is no steak haché or other typical kids option she has suggested that we can share my plate with kid together…. Customers could feel they are intruders ( maneger screaming: “That’s it were blocked, refuse customers” over your head…)
