Husband and I came to Pittsburgh to have a cute little day date and spontaneously stopped for dinner. The whole vibe in the building was wonderful and I could sit and rave about this food all day long. Well worth the 2 hour drive for us!

This restaurant should close for weekday lunches. I had the misfortune of visiting The Porch on a Monday during lunch. When eating alone, I normally sit at the bar. In this case, there was no bartender and I was directed to order food at the counter. If I wanted to order counter food, McDonald’s $8 value meal would have been a better option, at least the food would be decent. I ordered a “chopped” salad with chicken and received a bunch of dry iceberg lettuce with a bit of chicken. There was no staff around paying attention to customers. Instead they were cleaning up from a large catering party on the patio. Obviously, I won’t be returning and hope that anyone interested in visiting here during lunch will read all of the reviews. A good restaurant has consistent service and food during all of its operating hours. If they don’t want to serve weekday lunches, just don’t open during those times. To be fair, Mary, the cashier/bartender was pleasant and as helpful as she could be as the only person serving customers. Adding insult to injury the food and beer were overpriced and resulted in a $30 tab.

Colton was our server for Valentine’s Day dinner and he was great. Attentive, funny, and asked questions when he needed clarification. Only disappointment was the red velvet espresso martini. It was flat, with no foam, and looked like a muddy mess. We’ll be sure to come back when Colton AND bartender Jen are on the schedule!

We’ve been coming here for a while. Food is always excellent. Service has always been great too. However, do feel rubbed the wrong way after dining there a few Friday nights ago. My wife ordered a Cesar salad with grilled salmon. Server brought out a maple glazed salmon instead. After a few minutes we were able to get his attention and he brought out a Cesar salad. We put the fish on ourselves which is fine an he took the “mistake” away. We were charged and paid for the maple glazed salmon ( more expensive than what she actually ordered.)

The highlight of our night, however, was Colton. He took incredible care of our group, keeping everything organized, well-timed, and fun. He’s professional, attentive, and really elevated the entire evening. If you’re heading in, definitely ask for his section!

Visited on a busy Sunday. The service was slow. The food was just OK. I ordered the turkey and bacon Eggs Benedict. They ran out of turkey. It was just OK and the potatoes were boring. There were a ton, I wish there was another side instead of so many potatoes. The grilled cheese was as expected. The breakfast pizza was good.

There is a variety of vegetarian options. They had very tasty non-alcoholic beverages, I haven’t found many other restaurants that offer such a wonderful selection. Clean, relaxing environment, very family friendly!

This was a nice dining experience. Come as you are, all casual. Appetizers excellent especially the roasted broccoli. Specials each day, try the salads with Salmon or shrimp. Clean and family friendly. Great waitress and staff. Not overly crowded during rush hour.
