Always check your order – I wanted to email but that wasn’t an option. I called and places an order on Sunday 1/4 around 1pm and picked it up around 1:30. They close at 2 on Sundays and My family was at a sports practice so the people eating did not open the order until after they were closed.
My total was over $50 and they didn’t get half my order right. They wrote everything down right because she was reading off the order list when she was charging me. They charged me for the extra things but they did not out on the extra things. The guy I spoke to was super nice but the follow through did not happen. I also paid cash and wasn’t given a receipt to prove my purchase. I ordered a full stack of pancakes with chocolate chips. They charged me $1.50 for the chocolate chips but didn’t add them to the pancakes. There was a medium turkey hoagie I asked for only lettuce, American cheese and bacon. Specifically I said no tomato, no mayo, no oil or vinegar. They charged for bacon but did not add it. They also did not put on cheese and they added tomatoes. There was also an order of fries and I asked for cheese on the side because they weren’t being eaten right away but cheese was out right one top.
So disappointed.

Pure New Jersey feel w friendly and sometimes barking staff. It’s real fun
The food is everyday stuff but at a nice quality and a truly fair price. A great balance. They aren’t trying to price gouge like many others. It shows a respect they to their customers. The Italian sub was delightful, soft fresher bread, solid meats, the works. The omelet was cooked right, cheesy, good.
It’s order at the counter and then sit. All works nicely. All in an Unpretentious been-here-for-generations feel.
Joints like this give me hope for restaurants in this country. An honest, real place – the kind of thing that deserve to last

Great prices and great food. We do breakfast a lot at Ben’s, but it’s actually a hidden gem for catering. We’ve used them for several large events, from Superbowl parties to graduations and birthdays and the food is always a hit!

I have a big Construction job here in town and was hungry for a hoagie. I stumbled on this place and I’m glad I did. Got the medium deluxe italian. For under $10 it was a great sandwich. I’ll try the breakfast Sammie with Pork Roll next trip.

I don’t know what has happened to this place, the only reason we still spend money here is because my step son really likes the cheese omelet. But recently I would say the last two months it’s been very rare to have a meal with something not missing. The world is too expensive to not include toast that is suppose to be apart of the price, or to not put bacon on the side when it was paid for and ordered separately. I understand mistakes happen but it’s every single week and it was NEVER like this. Breakfast for 2 people and a side of bacon costs $30, that is a high price for some breakfast and it’s always wrong. I don’t complain about prices when it comes to food but get it right if your gonna make breakfast that expensive.

Stopped in for breakfast. Definitely have a lot of options to choose from as this place is much more than your typical small town cafe. It’s set up like a cafeteria, so you order at the counter. When your food is done, they call your name, and you pick it up from the counter. I ordered a combo that included eggs, bacon, home fries, and toast. Also had coffee to drink. I went to pick up my order after hearing my name called, and the lady who had my order was not happy with the way the bacon was cooked. It was a little on the soggy side. She asked if I wanted it more crispy. I said sure, and she delivered a plate that had crispy bacon. The food was good. The eggs cooked just right, over easy with nice runny yolks. The only negative was when I sat down in the booth, there was an unpleasant smell that lingered for a few minutes. I’m not sure if this was from a previous guest or if the area just needed to be cleaned a little better. Overall, a good meal with employees who are looking out for the customers to make sure the food is cooked to their liking. Would recommend to someone looking for a breakfast spot with reasonable prices.
