We recently visited Rib City. The restaurant was clean, and our waitress was friendly, which made for a nice atmosphere. They had cute decor and clean restrooms.
We ordered a rack of baby back ribs with fries, green beans, and mac and cheese. The food wasn’t terrible, but we’ve definitely had better. The ribs were overcooked and tough in some parts, and they lacked the smoky flavor we were hoping for. Honestly, they reminded me of the preseasoned ribs you can buy at the grocery store in a vacuum-sealed pouch. On the bright side, the BBQ sauce itself was really good.
The fries were a bit dry and overcooked, the green beans didn’t have much seasoning, and the mac and cheese was mushy and bland. However, the garlic bread was excellent—perfectly crisp with great flavor.
Overall, it wasn’t the worst meal, but it also wasn’t memorable. Rib City was decent, but there’s room for improvement in the food itself.

I love this place. I will alter my route to Texas just to eat here. I’ve tried a few things on the menu, but the baby back ribs are my favorite. Cooked just right every time. I always sit at the bar. Ice cold beer, friendly bartenders, and friendly locals. The bar area packs out especially in the evenings.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would give them negative stars!! Worst food I have ever ate tonight from any restaurant!!!! For just the 2 of us (and there was a party of 11!)Just for our 2 meals (Tony’s Combo for both of us) it was $90.00 BOTH racks of baby back ribs was Nasty, Gross, & Very DRY, the 1/4 beef was worse then chewing on a dry sponge, the 1/4 Chicken was dry, only good thing was the side dishes. The 3 margaritas my husband ordered was more mix and ice than actual alcohol. The Bloody Marys was more spice than anything we sent them back. (Sad when my 2 yr old granddaughter got the corn dog kids dinner she took one bite spit it out and said Yuck).. Now on for the service the waitress was horrible, Cups sat empty on our table for long periods of time (No The place wasn’t busy) she would just disappear for long periods of time, when asked for boxes she brought the checks and stood at our tables waiting for us to hand them back to her so she could ring us out and guess what.. still no boxes.. she had to be asked again! We won’t be going back even if someone else paid for my bill.

Husband and I stopped while driving through to NC and it was a great find! The ribs were delicious, tender, and full of flavor. The sides were tasty, though the baked beans were lacking. The key lime pie was absolutely fantastic and worth saving room for! Our service was excellent and the casual atmosphere made it an enjoyable stop.

We stopped at Rib City BBQ on our way to Gatlinburg, TN, and we’re so glad we did! The food was absolutely delicious—especially the baby back ribs, which were cooked to perfection. Tender, flavorful, and falling off the bone!

I had the lunch of riblets I chose my sides as sweet potato fries and BBQ beans , the riblets were delicious and fell off the bone , the BBQ beans was also delicious and you could taste the molasses it also had what looked like pieces of square meat chunks in it hubby said they are called burnt tips but they wasn’t burnt they were soft and delicious in the beans , the sweet potatoe fries were good just the usual sweet potatoe fries , I well definitely go back there again they did give alot to eat

We arrived before the lunch rush and still waited for over 45 minutes for our food. Sadly the food was not worth the wait. The green beans had no taste, the Mac n cheese tasted like melted Cheez-wiz and the baby back ribs were just ok. The St. Louis style ribs were pretty good though, so there is that. The bathrooms were clean and the place was pretty full by the time we left so maybe we hit it at just the wrong time.
