My order: 1x Käsespätzle, 1x Beer (the Czech 5% ABV), 1x Sweet Dumpling Dessert and 1x Coca Cola. All of that for €39.50 (roughly £35).
The Spatzle was unbelievably cheesy and rich, and the crispy onions weren’t overbearing and actually improved the flavour. The side – which was a vinegary salad – cut through the richness really well and helped to balance the flavours. A very well thought out dish.
The dessert was surprisingly not too sweet but was absolutely delicious. The custard and berries – which I didn’t initially think worked together – grew on me the more I ate and the dumplings themselves were crunchy and flavourful. Again, really hit the flavour combination perfectly.
The beer was cold and strong but I’ve definitely had better taste-wise. Totally my issue as they did a beer I knew I liked (Gösser) but I decided to try something different. It wasn’t a bad beer but not my favourite I’ve had in Vienna. It goes without saying but Coke is coke and was cold when served.
The service was polite and efficient, and the gentleman who served me spoke very good English and helped me out – my German is not the best. The service of food from ordering it was also fairly quick, though I wouldn’t have minded waiting given the quality of the food itself.
Finally I want to quickly touch on the decor. The decor, the branding and the layout of the restaurant was simple and effective. It’s a pleasure to eat in such a place and very comfortable, I could’ve easily stayed longer than I did.
Absolutely A* from me, loved every bite.
The interior is stylish and clean.
The food is a true work of art: delicious, with presentation worthy of a Michelin-level restaurant. The beer selection is diverse.
The staff are friendly and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better.
Thanks for your service.
Lots of love from Australia
The atmosphere here is amazing, and the food is absolutely delicious. Definitely recommend!
Food was excellent, tasty, diverse and unique, just great
The staff is incredibly nice and friendly
Overall atmosphere is cozy and perfect for cozy dinners
Overall greay value
We started with their gnocchi, which was like a ramen?! It was surprisingly cheesy and delicious. The pork dish was also fantastic, but the real star was the schnitzel—insanely delicious and perfectly crispy! Even the salad was great, fresh and full of flavor.
For dessert, we tried the kaiserschmarrn with apple sauce, and it was the perfect sweet ending to our meal.
The service was excellent, and I can’t recommend this place enough.
We made a reservation because it was a Saturday night. It was almost empty when we arrived at 6:45 but quickly filled up. Not sure if a reservation is usually needed.
However, the service was surprisingly good – definitely better than what you get in many other spots around Vienna.
The outdoor gazebo is lovely and perfect for enjoying a meal outside when the weather is nice. The place was also very clean and well-kept, which added to the overall positive experience.
Worth a visit!
