The Palace Saloon is truly a Soo establishment, opening for the first time over a century ago in 1903. The restaurant has seen some changes over the decades, but what has always remained the same is the Palace Saloon’s amazing food, drinks, and its commitment to the local community. The beautiful mahogany Brunswick bar is still in use, caring friendly staff, and the family-oriented business is the same as it has always been.

Food was very good. Only complaint was the wet burrito with shrimp only had 3 smaller. We told the waitress but she didn’t seem to concerned and did not offer a solution. Queso was excellent. Twin fajitas were excellent.

okay I used to go here quite a bit. back when they did taco Tuesdays, but stopped going due to a seriously messed up charge to my card .. was charged like more than double what the slip said. THEY FIXED IT AFTER I CALLED .. so that was good. Went back today to find the place empty at around 5pm and I was like umm that’s weird. The menu has very little Mexican food on it! we chose the 2 for 26$ we were charged $26.50 which was odd.. but wife did ask for extra sour cream so maybe that was it . the tacos were good but we found the ground beef to be just a tad too spicey for our liking. The menu used to have all kinds of good things on it .. what happened? and the 2 for 26 half of the items have an upcharge.. why not just put them on the menu and not use gimmicks. I will say the service was on point! thanks for that I really appreciate good service.

Had a great lunch at The Palace and really enjoyed all the efforts they put into their Halloween decor. Lunch was tasty and we really enjoyed ourselves. This might like a small detail but that bathrooms were immaculately clean too. I’ve been to a lot of other “fine dining” restaurants with disgusting washrooms. Overall, great job Palace. Thank you!

Beautiful bar and gorgeous decor! We had a very sweet server who was more than happy to serve our party of seven. She brought out coloring pages for the kids and was quick to get orders and drinks. The nachos, salads, and salsa were all very flavorful and filling. Delicious! Portion sizes were sharable with leftovers to take home. The drink special of the day was a Long Island: super strong and delicious citrus flavor. Well worth the stop! We will definitely be back!

I think the overall ambience and history in this restaurant is absolutely amazing.
Upon walking in, it makes you pay attention to the authenticity of the building, the beautiful and cherished woodworking.
We enjoyed our food, our waiter-I think his name was Caleb-had a quick smile, was very knowledgeable about the menu, readily offered recommendations and was an all around great guy!
I did think the menu could have had more offerings, but what they had on the menu available to order was done very well.

This is basically on point with Soo food. The flour tortilla chips were almost soggy, the smothered chicken tastes weird and had dry chicken. The table was sticky and the air freshener in the bathroom gave me the worst headache, it was definately hiding a smell. I will not be going back.

Visited in July 2023 on a Tuesday evening.
Seating and service was quick. My server was friendly and very attentive. Interior is pretty neat overall, really cool looking.
Chips and salsa were okay, but the flour tortillas, freshly made, we’re still so soft that they could not be used to dip into salsa. They tasted good though. The salsa is extremely chunky.. It isn’t the more smooth style that you get at a place like El Rancho. It tasted pretty good too, but I prefer the thinner salsa.
I had the chimichanga and overall it was pretty good. It wasn’t spectacular, but it wasn’t bad. It was a bit bland in terms of the chicken inside. The rice was not excellent, it reminded me of something from a box. The beans were pretty good.
The food came out within minutes of ordering it. Which is kind of odd, but whatever.
Overall, not a bad experience. Try it, but it isn’t mind blowing.

Primary seasoning in my nachos came from the gas of the grill. Absolutely lifeless, flavorless non-authentic rendition of Mexican food. I love finding Good Mexican food, but it is rare and this food seems completely without effort or interest. The waiter was nice tho.
