We decided to try this place for my daughters Birthday dinner as we are steak lovers. I made a reservation a few hours in advance. When we arrived and found the door to enter the hostess was less than inviting. There was no computer to track seating and what she had scribbled with pencil and paper seemed unorganized. She couldn’t find the name for our reservation and asked if it could be under someone else. We were then seated on a picnic bench table inside a dining hall like room. In a very dark corner. The atmosphere is loud the seating is not comfortable and from the cutlery, plates, and the plastic table clothes everything feels cheap for such an expensive meal. Our server Shannon was great. She was attentive and polite and her staff helper was quick to fill our drinks and clear our plates. The menu is simple no frills. My daughter of course ordered the Cowboy 2 lb steak. I ordered the cowgirl 1 lb steak and my SIL ordered the Burger. My daughter’s steak was undercooked but she said it tasted good. The rules around our home are if you have to use steak sauce it’s cooked wrong. Well, I tried to eat my steak it was just way too salty and not even steak sauce could fix it. The salad dressing tasted bottled and the pinto beans were nothing special. The best part of our meal was the garlic toast. Our server did ask how it was and my daughter just answered for us before I could say anything. But in the end she did help me out with removing the steak I couldn’t eat. She was a good server all around. Unfortunately, we will not return to this place the value and comfort are just not it for us .

Steak & Ribs Heaven – A Memorable Evening
We had dinner here recently and went for the steak and ribs — both were outstanding. The steak was cooked exactly to our liking, juicy and tender, with great char and flavor. The ribs were fall-off-the-bone soft, richly seasoned, and the glaze added just the right balance of sweet and smoky.
The setting is warm and inviting, perfect for a relaxed evening out. The staff were friendly, attentive, and clearly took pride in their offerings. Services between courses felt well-timed, letting us enjoy our meal without feeling rushed.
Portions were generous, and the prices were fair for the quality of food and level of service. If you appreciate hearty, well-prepared meat dishes, this place delivers.
Tip: Pair your ribs with a side of roasted vegetables or mashed potatoes for a full comfort meal. Arriving somewhat early helps avoid peak-time crowds.

Very disappointing!! Our steaks $45 were cooked too much.. no veg or . Potatoes unless you paid extra! Salad not very good, pathetic! Go to Roadhouse Steak house ….this is what you get for $25

If I could I would give them a 10! This was our first visit after recently moving to Tucson. The general manager, Connie waited on us. She could not have been more welcoming and personable. She clearly knew a lot of regulars chatting with them but didn’t miss a beat taking our order and the food came quickly! I read a few reviews with complaints of the price. You get what you pay for! Everything was delicious and the portions were huge! Loved the atmosphere of this place! Highly recommend Lil Abner!

We recently came here for dinner and decided to order the steak and ribs, and wow — both dishes truly impressed us . The steak was cooked perfectly to our preference, incredibly juicy, tender, and packed with flavor, with a beautiful char that made every bite even better . The ribs were just as amazing — so soft they literally fell off the bone, generously seasoned, and coated with a glaze that struck the perfect balance between sweet and smoky . Everything tasted expertly prepared and full of care. It was a satisfying, memorable meal that left us smiling and already talking about coming back again ✨.

Went there for a small celebration. Sat inside and service was excellent. Steaks were cooked well and good quality. Baked potato is extra and only 6.00 extra and so big, good enough for two meals. Only complaint is the sour cream coming in small packages. Would prefer a more ample way of receiving it. It will not disappoint!

What a great meal. Toast and beans are delicious. The steaks are cooked perfect with the wonderful taste of being cooked over an open fire. And I had a specialty drink and it was well worth the price. They are now a regular stop for me.

We went for my birthday. Every year I pick an upscale restaurant to eat at and this year I decided this was the place since we had never eaten here.
What a bad choice. A couple of things – I walk with a cane due to a bad back, hips and mobility issues.
We arrived at opening at 5. They went to seat us at a picnic bench. Non-workable since I need something with back support and I can’t crawl into a fixed bench. So we got them to find us a table with chairs for six. They were accommodating.
The place was dingy, dim and look like it had not been updated in 30 years. I am all for nostalgia and rustic but honestly this was not it. The furniture was cheap and uncomfortable. For the price point I expected a hell of a lot more than what they provided. Pinnacle Peak is 100% more enjoyable than this place with a cheaper price point and the same quality food.
Service was prompt enough. They brought out water and our drinks within 15 minutes which was fantastic. Ordered a coke, diet coke and a kilt lifter beer and they arrived in about 15 minutes. They took our order within about 20. Our salads arrive within the first 30 minutes.
A boneless ribeye was ordered, half rack of beef ribs, 2 lb. porter house steak, 2 sirloin steaks and the salmon dinner. All the steaks were ordered medium rare. A plate of potato wedges were ordered as well. Meals also came with the dinner salad, bread and beans.
It took them almost 40 minutes to get our entrees to us.
The ribeye was about a quarter inch thick and cooked to medium. Both sirloins were about an inch thick and medium rare as ordered and the porterhouse was about two inches and rare. Salmon was medium. Potato wedges looked like they took a potato and cut it into quarters, seasoned it and cooked it. Beans were so over salted they were inedible.
Total cost for all six of us before tip – $278.67
What a waste of money. Should have gone to Flemings or Sullivan’s instead. At least I know there I would have had quality, atmosphere and comfort. Live and learn, will pick better for Father’s Day and next year.

Overall, the food was great and the service excellent. We went on a Saturday and they had live music. Prices are on the higher end but the portions were big and you get all you can eat garlic bread, beans and salsa. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a steakhouse!
