I hit the Cook Out drive‑thru the other night because I wanted something quick and familiar, and this visit landed right in the middle for me. The line moved faster than I expected, which was a nice surprise, but the overall experience was a bit uneven.
I ordered a tray with a burger, hushpuppies, and a corn dog, plus a milkshake because that’s basically the law at Cook Out. The food was hot, but the burger felt a little rushed — kind of thrown together, toppings sliding around, and the patty was on the dry side. Not terrible, just not as good as I’ve had at other locations. The hushpuppies were solid, though, and the corn dog tasted fresh.
The milkshake was the best part, as usual. Thick, sweet, and exactly what I wanted. If anything, it saved the meal.
Service was polite but not super engaged. They got the order right, but it felt like everyone was just trying to get through the shift, which I get — it’s fast food — but it added to the “just okay” vibe.
Overall, it did the job for a late‑night craving, but nothing stood out enough to make me choose this location over another one. I’d go back if I was already in the area, but I wouldn’t drive across town for it.

Wow straight trash bro!!!! My first time at cookout in 4 years. And the photo im sharing say every thing. The food is not all that in the first place but then they put four/4 tiny baby onion rings in the box. The oniin rings i got are from the very center inside of the onion.
Our wait time was long both before getting to order food and waiting for it to come up.
I will not be going back there again. McDonalds is better.

I order a mint oreo shake and this is what I got a vanilla shake with oreo. Then the double cup with the original cup being busted open on the side. The service was fast and great as always but this is shake was the worst experience I’ve ever received from the cookout in summerville.

LEMME START!! I don’t know who it is that been running the drive thru! On January 22nd at 1:40A.M.. but you are probably the most amazing person to be around. Great customers service I was really just blown away at how great of service I’ve received so late at night. Then the food just phenomenal couldn’t close the box.

Ordered a big double burger. They shouldn’t use the word big at all. There is more meat in a McDonald’s cheeseburger which is sad. The meat was fried to a crisp, it was disgusting. Probably one of the worst burgers I’ve ever had at any restaurant. The chili dogs are ok but id steer clear of the burgers. I’ve ate at Cookouts in NC and generally they have decent food but every one I’ve ate at in SC is subpar at best.

Kept hearing some negative comments about this location so I wanted to try it for myself. My wife and I went on a Saturday evening and I’m surprised that they weren’t busy at all. Just one person in front of me. I can see how some people might feel like the customer service is rude. The woman that took our order sounded rude and low-key rushed us. It almost sounded like she hated her job. lol. Got to the window and she was cool and well-mannered. Anyways, the food was hot and fresh after a 25 min drive. My wife ate her corndogs before we even got home because they were so good to her. My main complaint was that I clearly asked for Powerade as my drink and they gave me sweet tea. I despise the drink and we were already home before I knew that so yeah. Also, keep in mind that when you pay, none of their locations takes AMEX, so VISA, MC, or anything else should work. Hope your experience with them is great. Take Care.

10/28/2025 after 9pm. Why does that girl have an attitude. If you don’t like your job, please find another. And why did u give me two cookout sauce sauces knowing they were open? I hate, hate, HATE bad customer service‼️She paid ZERO attention to my order and acted like me asking for the cookout sauce was a problem. Granite, I definitely could have went somewhere else, and next time I will. Some of these companies don’t care that they have employees that are trash at doing their job. As long as there’s a body to fill a shift, and it’s gonna be those same trashy attitude having employees that will cause a decline in customers. Do better!
