Poor Management and No Accountability at the Taco Bell on South 4th Street in Leavenworth, Kansas
I stopped into the Taco Bell at 2925 South 4th Street, Leavenworth, Kansas, to pick up food for myself and a fellow veteran who lives in the same apartment building. Because orders are no longer taken in person, I placed the order at the kiosk. The order included several add-ons, and I paid in full, rounding up my change for charity.
Since the food needed to be separated and delivered to someone else, I asked the employee at the counter if the items could be clearly labeled. She said she would pass the request to the kitchen but could not guarantee it would be done. I explained that once wrapped, it’s impossible to tell what’s inside a tortilla and asked again.
She repeated that she would let them know but could not guarantee anything. I then asked to speak with the manager and was told, “I am the manager.” After I stated that this was unacceptable, she told me that I “didn’t have to be rude.”
At no point was I rude — I was making a reasonable request on a paid, modified order. The response demonstrated a lack of accountability and professionalism. Labeling modified orders is a basic expectation, especially when customers are required to use kiosks instead of speaking directly with staff.
After all of this, the order was ultimately annotated as requested, placed in designated areas, and separated properly so I could bag it and deliver it myself.
Very Disappointing Experience

I got to the Taco Bell on Metropolitan street and every day around 2pm k am Metropolitan with exemplary customer service from the awesome ladies working. They almost always know who I am and what I want when I pull up. I love these guys

We ordered DoorDash, they forgot some of the order and sent the other items wrong. Cool no big deal, I call and let them know. Guy on the phone proceeds to tell me that he made it he knows he made it right – but if I want to come in he’ll replace it. Then he cuts me off when I’m trying to tell him what all was wrong or missing and I’m being a child because I’m “arguing” – nope not arguing- just trying to talk and you’re not letting me get a word out. He keeps saying you’re being a child, and he knows he made it right, if it was made right. ♀️ Never once did he apologize, the proceeds to call me a child yet again- telling me I need to act grown. My husband takes the phone because I’m getting irritated. He does the same crap to my husband, and then hangs up. Do better Taco Bell, a simple “sorry about that we made a mistake” would have been nice.

They never give you sauce or napkins and this time an item I ordered, a Mexican pizza, was two shells without any filling. I don’t get it. I’m in retail too, it takes nothing to make sure all items are in the bag and everything looks right before you give it to a customer.

The App says it’s open, Google says it’s open but I just went to order something the doors were locked. Went around to the drive through, ignored at the monitor and the window. I think they should either change the time of when they are open instead of keeping it the way it is if they aren’t gonna follow it.

$18 for everything to be cold, wrong tacos, my frys were cold and soggy, the nachos were just crumbs and there’s barely any cheese sauce in the cups. Unreal.

Just awful!! Ordered the cantina power bowl this evening and all I got was 4 tiny pieces of chicken and was charged 8$ for chicken that add up to 2 nuggets..

Probably one of the most disappointing moments. Service is friendly, but you can independently tell they who ever is preparing the food doesn’t want to be there. Because fiesta potatoes are hard as rocks and beans are dried and the bean burrito was miniature. Meaning basically a tortilla with almost nothing on the inside. I get that it’s hot and we sometimes don’t want to be at work. But please just say that before I spend my money there. I don’t ever do these but felt like I needed to

Best Taco Bell. 5 stars because I’m ranking for what it is, a Taco Bell. Fast, hot food, and typically get the orders exactly correct. Even down to no ice in the drinks when ordered on mobile. A few times we have ran into stock outs on things like sauce or specific menu items but that’s very rare. If I have ordered from this Taco Bell 300 times (which that’s probably close) I’ve had maybe less than 10 issues ever.
