update: February 2024-been several times since Marteen took over as the Manager. servers are presented clean & efficient, friendly & helpful, the quality of the food is much better now. I recommend. Newer menu with popular dishes. I like the shrimp tacos and chicken sandwich.

I recently visited this restaurant with my family and unfortunately had a very uncomfortable experience.
The environment itself felt overwhelming. The seating was very cramped and I felt squished in, which made the space feel claustrophobic. The lighting was extremely bright and overstimulating, and the restaurant was very echoey and loud The cleanliness
was also concerning. Our plastic cups were chipped and one had a stain inside. The bathroom was very dirty as well there was brown liquid around the trash can and I had to wipe down the toilet seat before using it.The food also seemed a bit off to me. I can’t say exactly what it was, but something about it didn’t seem very fresh. Except for the fajitas After looking at some reviews later, I even saw someone mention that their tamales had been rotten a few months ago, which made me even more uneasy
On top of that, I ordered churros and the employee told me they would be ready in about 3–4 minutes. After waiting and asking about them, I was told they weren’t on the receipt, so they were never actually put in. That was frustrating since I had already been told they were coming. Overall, the experience very stressful. I hope the restaurant improves these issues because right now it’s hard to feel comfortable eating there.

Very friendly and helpful staff, and the food was phenomenal!!!! I got a mango house margarita with tajin on the rim, and the Manolo’s which was so delicious!!! Chicken breast thinly sliced with an amazing marinade, with spinach, sea scallops and shrimp with rice and a cheese sauce! Soooo good!

Had to take a walk to have dinner here on business. My wife and I went to Puerto Vallarta for our honeymoon in 2009 and when I saw the name the dinner choice was sealed. And boy was I delighted with the EL BURRITO DE LA ROQUETA. So flavorful, rice was really good and so were the chips and salsa. Had a delicious Corona Rita for a perfect pair. Cheers!

I can only attest to the steak fajitas since thats all I usually order. Stringy and more like ground beef than steak. It’s one thing to raise prices and offer quality food but raising prices and cutting corners will loose customers.

Very disappointed in this place. It used to be where me and my family loved to eat. By the last time we ordered the tamales were rotten and just the smell that was coming off of them was absolutely disgusting. They said they would replace our meal but when I went to call, they said that it’s been too long and they will not honor it and they did not tell me there was a time frame onto order. But when you get food, that is rotten, you’re not going to turn around and just order again! I was going to give them some time. They have lost a repeated customer who came often.
