The food is not good, especially at the end of the day. They never put out fresh chicken. They just keep whatever has been there all day long and the manager there is extremely rude. I’m so glad the new location in Des Plaines opened up. It is excellent.

Super clean, well maintained, bathrooms are very clean! Has 3 large booths- ( seats up to 6-8 depending on your size ) and 2 regular sized booths along with 3 tables -seats 4 each.
I have been to many Popeyes throughout the city over the years and recently have frequented this location and let me tell you.. the spicy option is truly SPICY!! I like Spicy and outside of New Orleans , it’s hard to actually find spicy when you order it. But this place has always been great about that!
I ordered the 4 piece all white spicy and not only was it spicy it was fresh and hot. I added the mashed potatoes, red beans and rice( I MISS THE CAJUN RICE! How bout ya’ll?)
Tried the mac & cheese which was probably the least favorite but all in all the employees here are always friendly ,courteous and very professional, which you don’t find too often at fast food locations, and they’re FAST! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
But this place gets 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Open till midnight( drive thru) dining room closed at 10pm

Wasn’t sure if they were open during Columbus Day, but I took a gamble and pulled through, and as sure as God’s got sandals, they were indeed open. Went to their drive-thru just shortly after opening and ordered a 12pc fried chicken half mild and half spicy, and after a short wait, I paid and was handed my food. The drive-thru attendant was amicable and offered good service, which is always a nice experience. Took a peak inside as I drove away and saw that their floor and tables were clean and tidy. I noticed booster seats for the little ones for dining in. Took the food home, and it was still piping hot when I got there. Crunchy, hot, freshly cooked chicken, and the spicy pieces had me sweating. Good experience. Will definitely be paying another visit. Cheers!

This particular store is amazing! At least the young lady that took my order was and so I feel the entire restaurant is 5 stars! it was close to 11pm on 9/17/2025 she really went above and beyond. She didn’t know it, but, I’d had a really rough day and outing; this young woman whom I believe was the Manager or Supervisor; really turned it around and made my whole day seem like a good one. Her and the entire staff were great! When I was leaving I could not help but to blurt out, MY GIRL! she’s awesome and I wish I knew her name so I could add it here.
This is for restaurant 10312 at 5353 Harlem. I’ll be coming here more and more, maybe not so late lol but I’ll be there again… maybe even tonight! This Popeyes Louisiana kitchen is definitely Flex approved

8/2022 5* Restaurant is good. Clean and staff was mostly helpful. Chicken was hot, tasty, fresh, and available right away. I enjoyed the meal for 2 days. Yum, Yum!!
One negative is the parking. Hard to get out back onto Harlem. Not the safest, especially if turning left.

Popeyes: where the chicken is spicy but the service is stone cold. I waited in line for 10 minutes, watched my food sit there getting cold, and even told your staff my order was ready. But nope, they moved slower than molasses.

Cashier at the time of service was very nice, however, she messed up our order; when she explained to superior (she talked a whole lot of crap – Not as nice). Still got my order corrected and just F.Y.I not all spanish is the same, depending on dialect the meaning changes. NOT ALL LATINOS ARE THE SAME!!! and she’s (superior) lucky that I still respect my elders (I was with my mom) or else I would have gone off on her little disrespectful self.

I tried to order food at Popeyes and had one of the worst drive-thru experiences ever. The employee couldn’t hear me through the microphone and kept asking the same questions over and over. When we finally pulled up to the window to clarify the order, instead of helping us, she just said one random item from the order and started laughing at us.
I asked several times for her to confirm the full order, but she kept laughing and being disrespectful. I asked to speak to the manager, hoping it would get better but it got worse. The manager acted just like her, laughing and offering no help at all. Absolutely unprofessional.
I ended up wasting my time and ended up late for work because neither the employee nor the manager could do their job or treat customers with basic respect. This location seriously needs to retrain their staff. Ridiculous and disappointing. Never coming back.

Unbelievable went there for lunch. They told me they didn’t have the chicken sandwich said it would be 30 minutes and they trapped me inside of their drive-through. Worst Popeyes in the city avoid like the plague. Fast food my ass!!
