Came through a little while back. Honestly the entrance to the establishment from the tunnel to the walkway along the cliff over the beach to the actual restaurant was pretty epic. There were so many great spots for photos with our group and we were excited to dine. While the ambiance was one of the best in class, the food had much to be desired. The presentation was there, but the food didn’t do the job. It reminded us of similar quality food as you’d find at a mid level hotel or your company’s holiday dinner. Some of the meats were undercooked while some were just dry and chewy. The drinks were pretty good though so that helped us enjoy our night. Overall beautiful spot, just don’t have high hopes for the food.

We were so disappointed with our very pricey meal for two coming in at $444.26 before drinks. The best thing about the evening was the view. We prepaid the Baja bounty package to guarantee seating on the edge. With this you have a 4 course meal that is prefixed. Our first course was soup and the lobster in the bisque was chewy. Second course was seafood appetizer trio with a salad. I will say that the tuna was delicious out of the three. Main was a mixed grill. Shrimp was over cooked, the wagu steak was dry, dry, dry, which shouldn’t be for wagu. The fish was decent. This came with Broccoli and gnocchi on the side which was ok nothing over the top. The dessert was the only thing we were able to choose and only ate 2 bites as we were turned off. This is the first time that we were heavily disappointed in a restaurant in Cabo. Pictures attached but don’t let the look fool you. Bummed!

Beautiful place beautiful views and very nice staff. Very long walk to the restrooms. Love that they give you blankets and umbrellas if it starts raining. I don’t like that you have to dine in the rain if it rains. We had the chef menu for our dining experience. We did not like it. The soup was the best part. The steak we very undercooked and we didn’t even get the option of temperature. The fish was ok with the shrimp and lemon sauce but everything else was not good. The desert was tasty though.

The price of the four-course dinner is determined by the 3rd course (main entree) you choose, plus tax and service charge. The appetizers, soups and desserts are fixed. We chose the $102 Totoaba fillet (highly recommended) that’s only available in the Baha waters and the $150 twin lobster tails (terrible, almost inedible). The service was impeccable, and the supervisor was apologetic when we voiced our disappointment at the lobster and allowed us to swap for another entree. We chose the $99 shrimp (just ok). So come for the view and the ambience. Don’t order the most expensive item on the menu, because you’ll probably be disappointed.

So first thing. This is in the Waldorf Astoria hotel. The gate attendant was sort of a pain. Nowhere does it say reservations only we had to sit at th gate to try and make an open table reservation, which didn’t go through so we called and made a reservation. It’s 3pm. They just opened.

Of course when we got in we were the only people there. The staff said we didn’t need reservations. So not sure if I was our crap uber or my Girlfriend who was on that side that he decided to profile… anyway.

The view is amazing. The staff was ultra friendly. We just came for some oysters and champagne which was great. The champagne tasting was $100/person and they did a salt pairing. Wasn’t something I’ve had so it was good. 3 tastes and 3 salts. We had some oysters which were decent, for the price I’d say they should have been a better option they weren’t anything special and for almost $50 for 5 they should have been.

But the view. You pay for it. And you will. Out total was about $450 which included their 15% mandatory tip (tacky for a place of this price but hey maybe people go there and get sticker shock and don’t tip) and another 15% on top – my urge on forced gratuity is to leave it at that, but that view.

Food smelled great. View is amazing. Oysters were the same as the stuff that the marina for less.

Still a great time.

El Farallon at the Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos – A Memorable Dining Experience

El Farallon is beautifully tucked inside the Waldorf Astoria, which is where we stayed, and the experience starts with the view alone. The setting is absolutely breathtaking, especially in the evening. It’s one of those restaurants where the atmosphere truly elevates the entire meal.

We loved it enough to go back for dinner two nights in a row. On our first visit, we ordered the bluefin tuna sashimi and two mains: the red snapper and the filet. What we didn’t realize is that each main comes as a full five-course experience, including a salad, soup, appetizer, dessert, and of course the main dish. It was a lot more food than expected, but everything was well prepared and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming throughout the evening.

For our second dinner, based on the portion sizes from the night before, we decided to share just one main and added the seafood tower. The seafood tasted fresh, and while I personally wished the sashimi cuts were a bit fattier (especially the bluefin or even some salmon belly), the chocolata clams were definitely my favorite from the tower. We also shared another fish main afterward, which was a great choice.

What truly made the night special was how kind the staff were with our 13-year-old dog. They surprised her with a little birthday cake and even brought her a piece of steak. It was such a thoughtful and sweet gesture that made the evening unforgettable.

Overall, El Farallon is perfect for a special occasion or celebration. While it is on the pricier side, the view, service, and experience make it absolutely worth trying at least once during your stay in Los Cabos.

Such an experience from the moment you walk in. The restaurant sits atop the rocks so you hear the waves all evening long (a warning that under some circumstances and rough seas the waves will crash up on the restaurant). They start you at the champagne bar then take you to your dinner which includes a starter, appetizer and desert with the purchase of an entree. I found this to be very unique in the area. I got the fillet which was melt in the mouth delicious (one of the best I’ve ever had) and I would highly recommend. The service is outstanding, always checking on you but never rushing you (one of the reasons I love Cabo!). Our waiter Eric along with the whole staff was amazing and we will definitely be back!

A Perfect Birthday Celebration with Stunning Views!

I recently celebrated my birthday at this restaurant and it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment we arrived, the ambiance was warm and inviting, with breathtaking views that made the evening even more special.

The food was absolutely delicious—every dish was beautifully presented and packed with flavor. The service was exceptional, with the staff going out of their way to ensure we had a wonderful time. They even surprised me with a birthday dessert, which was such a thoughtful touch!

If you’re looking for a place with great food, a fantastic atmosphere, and stunning views, I highly recommend this restaurant !
It was the perfect spot for a special celebration!

The atmosphere of this restaurant is spectacular. Such a lovely place to have drinks and take photos of yourself at. My dining experience however just wasn’t impressive. I really didn’t like anything except the desserts. This is the spot everyone comes to for their birthday. They sung happy birthday to three other tables including myself, I know they get tired of singing it lol. The server did take amazing photos of me so I truly appreciate that. The Waldorf Astoria is gorgeous though I’ll have to stay there when I come back to Cabo.

This place was immaculate, top tier experience is what you pay for and it was worth every dime. I decided to come here for the last day of my birthday trip and it was the best dinner of my entire stay. The filet mignon and lobster Mac is a must, it was very delicious. I highly recommend this place; the Pacific view and sounds of the high tide waves was an amazing experience.
