The food was phenomenal. The fish was juicy and tender with great flavor – loved the breading. The cornbread was nice and moist with a savory flavor. The green beans were tasty as well. The other guests enjoyed the food they ordered also. Definitely recommend checking it out.

Absolute perfection! The entire menu are the recipes of the owner’s grandmother from Georgia. Everything that I ordered was prepared just right. The seasonings were spot on; the portions were more than generous; the pricing was honest; and the staff were all gracious and polite. Do yourself a favor and experience genuine Southern cooking. I highly recommend the Collard Green Gumbo or the Seafood Gumbo.

Phenomenal. The collard greens and the Banana Pudding were the best I have ever had, and that is saying a lot. The chicken was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The potato salad and the sweet potatoes were amazing. The mashed potatoes were extremely flavorful also. The corn bread was moist and hit the spot. Could not give any more credit to this fine establishment. The place was extremely clean and the service was amazing. Our server, Natasha, was wonderful. She recommended the potato salad and told me her mother makes it. Well, that’s all I needed to hear and it did not disappoint. Soul Secrets is my new favorite spot when I am in Cincinnati!!! My husband is a truck driver and we found this place off of TikTok. The staff was friendly, good service, the food was delicious and the portions were nice size. If we ever travel back through we will be back. I got the fish with mac n cheese and sweet potatoes *chef’s kiss* my husband got the chicken, greens and mac n cheese and he said loved the chicken. Everything was good and we also got a bowl of gumbo greens that was so good.

This is the ONLY soul food restaurant I’ve had in my entire life that every single item actually tastes like home cooking. Even the water was crisp and refreshing. 10 all around. The meals and portions are also filling so you get your money’s worth. The banana pudding? THE BEST I’ve ever had. It’s so light, fluffy, creamy, and melts in your mouth Soul Secrets definitely put soul into every single dish. Had me kicking my feet for joy at the table. I came to this restaurant because of tic tok and I loved that it was black owned, but I was really disappointed. Our server didn’t come check on us at all, we sat in the back by the restrooms and kitchen,someone back there kept yelling food orders extremely loud and the place can really use an update the bathroom sink was falling apart. As for the food it was very mid. The fish was really good but everything else needed more seasoning. And it had a lot of flies/ nats I guess they tried to mitigate that by having nat catchers in the window which I didn’t like being seated by

The food was absolutely delicious! We had a party of three and every item, everyone ordered was absolute perfection! Our waitress, Natasha, was wonderful and very helpful when assisting us with our order. Music was great, and I would definitely recommend trying this place out if you’re in the area!

Went to a different soul food restaurant and the service was so poor I ended up where I should have started. I was seated immediately. The family theme shinned right away. There was a since of pride that I felt from the jump. The food was fantastic. Everything was handled with care. Even the conversation was heartfelt and genuine.
