This place is incredible. We were looking for a new diner after Kristy’s closed in wood dale and this is it. They have some good breakfast but I am in love with the lunch/dinner menu. I get the patty melt every time but they have something for everyone in the family. Definitely worth a try

Mountain man skillet. Flavorless except for a very strong old oily taste. Tasted almost like the griddle was dirty. Hashbrowns were too firm, tasteless except for the oil taste, not seasoned at all, bland barely any onions or mushrooms. The cheese was still in Chinese and not melted. Eggs had no salt to them. Pancakes taste so weird. Like a strong chemical vanilla flavor and they were very gummy although still looking fluffy.
Waitress seemed rushed. Kept seeing if we were ready to order, then Didn’t check on us until I asked dor a box, she gave us check although the other patron wasn’t done eating. I left hungry and $20 poorer.

Large parking lot and we were greeted politely upon entering, which was a nice start. Unfortunately, the experience went downhill from there. Service was just okay.
We were a group of three and each ordered different dishes. My salad had a hair in the dressing. When I pointed it out, the owner tried to convince me it was oregano. Only after I pulled it out with a spoon did she admit it and apologize, saying she couldn’t see very well.
The food itself was disappointing — very dry, lacking flavor, peppers were extremely salty, and the olives had an odd chemical-like smell. The pita bread was fine, but that was about it.
Overall, not a good dining experience, and I will definitely pass on this place in the future.

I was really excited to bring my mom and I to a new place to eat. Seeing the photos of this cute restaurant and a photo of a dog I was more at ease for my service dog and I to experience a new place. It takes me a long time to work up the courage to visit new places, especially restaurants due to my disabilities. Walking in I was nervous already, the man at the desk looked at us and walked us to the back corner of the restaurant away from people. He told my mom “There’s people here that may not like dogs” his reason to sit us away from everyone. My mother informed the host kindly that he is a service dog. Where he replied “I love dogs” and walked off. Please be aware this is segregation which is against ADA laws, though my main concern is it set for an unwelcoming and uncomfortable atmosphere. I wrote this review so fellow service dog teams can have a heads up and hopefully not experience this when they dine here in the future. Sadly I will not be returning, I had high hopes in potentially finding a good diner to visit frequently with friends and family.
On a positive note we loved the food! The chefs in the kitchen did a spectacular job! My mother ordered a spinach wrap but got a flour wrap instead but she absolutely raved about it. She usually doesn’t eat fries but she enjoyed how crispy and fresh they were. To the kitchen staff, thank you for the delicious meal! I do recommend to try the food and hopefully this review helps management educate staff on service animals and better practice for the next team who may visit. I don’t want this to discourage any fellow service dog teams or diners but just a friendly and fair heads up.

Really impressive place, waiters, and food.
1. Really nice decor, nicely contrasted colours. It felt new and yet not overpowering. Liked the green, white and gray colours. Also liked the roses in the walls that each explained the different types of roses there are. A nice creative touch.
2. Very helpful waiters, friendly, and knowledgeable about different deserts.
3. The food was super tasty, great shrimp, great sirloin, and great creamy chicken soup.

Food was extremely bland. i couldnt finish it even after putting hot sauce and ketchup on it. My pancakes werent even fully cooked. There was actual batter in my pancakes i took one bite and i was done. All this “food” is to waste!! Nevee going here again the place looks great but it doesn’t translate to the food quality!

We stopped here because we were out in Elk Grove for my hubby. We wanted breakfast and this place didn’t disappoint!! We both got skillet meals.. mine was ham and my hubs got the meat lovers. .. I got white toast he got the rye. It was delicious!! The atmosphere is relaxed and everyone is friendly. Stop in here.. sit back.. relax and enjoy some good food!!

The interior and exterior is an improvement from the old location, but the food quality has gone downhill. Either new cooks or lower quality ingredients. The food just doesn’t taste good and the eggs were cold. Waitress was fantastic though.
