Pretty solid diner with very friendly service most of the time and solid food to boot. They have an extensive and large menu and actually do make everything quite well. Perfect place to take a group because you are almost guaranteed to find something that works for everyone in the group!

I had a simple breakfast here this morning, eggs, sausage, homefries and toast. Everything was very good, perfectly cooked as requested and served with a smile. The server was very kind and I truly appreciated the short conversation that we had. I’ve had several similar experiences here before, all of the staff are lovely, but today the service was so much more meaningful. I truly appreciate Stirling Diner and everything they offer.

Such a hidden gem! We were nearby for some random tasks and had a quick bite here. The burger was massive and delicious! And I loved the dinner special I ordered, which comes with a dessert. Their coffee was also so delicious! Highly recommend.

This is my first time here as I was passing through. As far as other restaurants in this area this place has more accessible parking. I ordered the spanakopita and it was decent. My family member ordered the chicken in the basket and it is a 4 piece fried chicken dinner with zucchini sticks/ onion rings. Then the other meal we ordered was the beef and gravy. For the vegetables if you were to order they are going to be from the frozen bag isle in the grocery store. Not to mention, our waitress hardly ever waited on us for refills. Overall, this diner isn’t bad at all, but it’s not a restaurant you’re not going to be thinking about late at night.

My mom and her friends were having dinner around 5pm and were enjoying their time until the cashier approached them around 7pm and asked them to leave. They had already paid their bill and left a generous tip, despite feeling uncomfortable about how they were treated.
The restaurant was barely occupied at the time, and there was no line or reason for the staff to rush them out. There was nothing about their behavior that warranted being asked to leave.
Given the circumstances, I believe they were being treated differently because they are Hispanic. The way they were singled out and rushed out felt discriminatory and unacceptable.
No one should feel unwelcome while dining out. Based on this experience, I do not recommend this restaurant.

I would not recommend this place to eat. The food is below sub par. My fajita wrap tasted like wax cheese and cheap chicken thrown into a wrap with too many green peppers and salsa. The server, Isabel, was not friendly especially with my elderly aunt. The prices of their food are expensive for what you get.

We recently stopped by Stirling House Diner in Stirling, NJ, and were pleasantly surprised by the overall experience. The atmosphere is cozy and casual, the diner itself was spotless, and the staff was super friendly. We were seated immediately, and our food arrived within ten minutes.
We started with a matzo ball soup for my wife, which she really enjoyed. For mains, we had a Patty Melt with fries and a hot turkey sandwich with mashed potatoes. The patty melt was solid, but the fries really stole the show—crispy and flavorful. My hot turkey sandwich came with the gravy on the side, which was a first for me, but it turned out to be a great idea. The turkey was hand-carved and a bit dry, but once I added the delicious gravy, the whole dish came together. Overall, the food was fresh, hearty, and definitely worth the price.
I’ll be back to try their breakfast, which seemed like a popular choice among other diners, and I’m already looking forward to it!

This is my favorite diner. We normally do for breakfast but it’s good for lunch and dinner too. The service is friendly and fast. You are greeted the moment you step in the door. Lots of roomy booths but also tables to accommodate larger parties. Foos is delicious.

I chose the onion rings, assuming they would be replaced with fries, but they gave me both. I didn’t appreciate the fries being thrown atop the open-faced sandwich. I peeled the fries off the cheese and gave them to my husband. The patty melt was great! Was it greasy? YES, but in the most delicious way!! I ordered it medium rare, and it came out perfectly. There was plenty of sautéed onions and cheese. The onion rings were excellent, although I reheated them in the oven for five minutes. The fries were good, too, but needed to be reheated.

Walked in here during a snowstorm about 30 minutes before they were closing. They were going to close about 15 minutes early, but they sat me anyway. Food came out quick and was great. The guy in the front told me not to rush and stay as long as I wanted. Great service and food.
