The sweetest and most attentive staff. The food was just ok. The thing is the smell. I was breathing through my mouth the whole time and had to take half the food to go cause I just couldnt. Had pie to go, delicious.
Not an early eater person so having all day breakfast near home is good but I dont think i will come back and the same smell ruins the meal

Saimir our server, was one of the best servers we’ve had anywhere in a long time. Friendly, attentive, attention to detail (like lemons for tea, often have to remind servers). We had a deadline to get somewhere and she did everything she could to make it quick and efficient. (I’m sure the kitchen helped too). Our food was pretty standard good. Just sandwiches but the marble rye was very good, breads were toasted nicely, everything tasted fresh. The standouts for us were the coleslaw… and OMG the beef barley soup was awesome!!! Place was clean, comfortable and music was at a good level. Price was absolutely fair and by the way… Wednesday is free slice of pie with an entree! Loved it and WILL BE BACK!!

Updated Feb 2025. Today, we went to use the Valentine coupon (2 entrees and 2 pies slices).. after we had already ordered, I realized that it’s only food from a specific menu, which was not given to us with the regular menu. Very frustrating that the special menu was up at the register, where you pay, after you eat.. Are you kidding me!? Obviously, I should have really read the coupon specifics, but it should’ve been given to us along with their regular menu. Young woman at register.. completely ignored what we were saying about it. Just sketchy and sad. Food was fine.

Wasn’t sure if I should update this review, but it’s so sad to see the quality still going downhill. There is a lot of competition (especially since restaurant across the street has opened back up) but I’m hoping V-Inn can step up and get back to the quality as before. How do you get hard cold pancakes here? Why would anyone serve that and greasy eggs? I’ve been coming to this place for over 40 years.. no one should ever put that on a plate for the customer. I guess some just eat it anyway. But things like that and slow service keep faithful customers falling away. I don’t want to stop going but this keeps happening, always sending cold or overly greasy food back. Hope it can get back on track and get the quality it used to have. It used to be a favorite of ours in this area, now its just a, fall back on, place and we keep fingers crossed with the food. It’s been here for a long time and I hope it can keep up and serve the quality I know it has the ability to.

I often forget about this place. But every time I do go in.. it is quick and always good. Triple decker club and onion rings.. a can’t miss! And of course, French Silk pie. And it brings back memories. Had a VI in my hometown. Many a meal there. So its a little slice of home even as they’ve obviously updated over the years.

I really enjoyed this particular village in. It’s very clean and quiet. Nothing against the other village inn. But at least the day that I came here was very quiet. Maybe because it’s a Monday. Anyway, I had the French toast meal with country fried potatoes and bacon. My absolutely favorite meal every time I go to village inn. And then I got a banana cream pie sliced to go. They are known and famous for their pies. I highly suggest you try a slice. You do not have to buy the entire pie. And they also have seasonal pies. Oh and the staff were very friendly. I had such an amazing waitress. I still enjoy coming here and getting some good food and brunch.

Wonderful dinner, and super staff, or server was so hard working, and helpful. He had to wait all the tables in the restaurant and still managed to be a very great server. We got a variety of things, and everything was very tasty with a very big portion. Cobb salad had tons of blue cheese, bacon, avocado, tomatoes, and different types of lettuce. Even arugula, which I love because of it’s peppery bite. My daughter had meatloaf with mashed potatoes, and onion rings which were very crispy and yummy. My younger daughter had the kids meal grilled cheese which looked very nicely cooked. My husband had the fish and chips which came with 3 crunchy fried pieces, and tons of fries. He ate almost the whole plate . My brother got the double bacon cheeseburger , patty size was gigantic, and it looked very yummy as well. Wonderful experience, and I definitely want to go back on Wednesday for FREE PIE , thank you to the entire staff for keeping strong during crazy times.
