Stopped in yesterday with a friend on our way to the Huckleberry Railroad and even though we live over an hour away we will most definitely be back! The food was amazing! Service was great, atmosphere a 10! Best chicken strips I’ve ever had. I don’t know how this place doesn’t get more recognition.

Great food, great service and clean inviting atmosphere. The service does take a bit longer then most restaurants however that’s because the food is actually prepared and home cooked not thrown in a microwave and everytime it is on point! Delicious with big portion sizes for the affordable price. Never had a bad meal here! Delicious breakfast, huge tasty salads, and great soups and dinner meals. If you want a nice atmosphere and some well prepared food come to grandma’s recipes! Expect to wait longer for your food so be patient but it’s worth the wait!

We ate at this restaurant on Tuesday as it came highly recommended for the hot roast beef sandwich. The exterior of the restaurant was not much to look at however the inside of the restaurant had an interesting look. We ordered the hot roast beef and fish sandwiches with onion rings. The food took about a half an hour to arrive to the table. We never got an update from the server. My friend suggested we get up and leave. The hot roast beef sandwich was good as was the onion rings, but my fish sandwich was warm – not hot. Towards the end of our meal, another customer came in with a dog. I love dogs and I’m all for dogs in restaurants if they are service animals or the restaurant has an outdoor area, but not a dog in someone’s jacket sitting at the table. It was a sweet dog, but made me wonder about the restaurant since they allowed this to occur. The waitress was thoughtful enough to put the extra fish sandwich and fries to go order in later with the cook so it wasn’t so cold when we were done eating our meal. I wasn’t sure how to rate the restaurant. It was okay but not the best food I’ve ever eaten. My friend enjoyed their sandwich and their portion was huge. We could have been here on an off night. I will probably try the restaurant again and revisit my scores if possible.

Its very nicely decorated, very clean and a cute atmosphere. It feels family owned as the name implies. The staff is friendly and strives for excellent service. The cooks get food out at a very great pace. Today was very busy and you never saw a lack in service. Happy we have this in our community!

Honestly in disbelief that I was served this. We ordered two separate scrambled egg breakfasts and this is what we received, blueish green dry rubbery eggs. It was completely inedible. We called and it was confirmed that these eggs were cooked in a microwave. I will never eat here ever again. A refund would mean nothing I am offended to be served food I wouldn’t even give to my dog. Used to be a great place to eat. Used to be.
Foul.

The fried chicken dinner is delicious! Cooked while you wait (it does take 25 minutes) and hot when you get it! The other stars of the show were the chicken noodle soup with homemade noodles, and the coleslaw. All for under $15. Just go! You’ll be happy you did!

Very home cooked, not your traditional chain restaurant. I save the 5 star rating for a select few that I will definitely drive out of my way for. I may not drive out of my way for this one but if I’m in the area I will definitely stop in again. For the price it is a five star rating.

Overall this place is great but inconsistent. Going there in the morning is one experience (usually positive) but if you go there later you might wait two hours for your food. Not open Mondays.

A decent diner with reasonable prices.
The rustic pastoral decor is pleasant and welcoming.
Portion sizes are ample. Waitress was nice.
Any mistakes were quickly resolved.
Not my favorite diner, but FAR from the worst I’ve been to.
