What could be better than food on the Chesapeake Bay area? Eating food on the bay and taking in the breeze and bay atmosphere. It was quite amazing. The server was nice and it was hard to make choices but going Gordon Ramsey’s visits, you have to check it out! For an appetizer, I chose the pita and crab dip. You have to go for what the Chesapeake known for, the old bay seasoning and crab. I also had the Salmon with herbs, lemon drizzle, along witn red potatoes mash and small Caesar salad. My friend had a double cheese burger with French cut fries with old bay seasoning. I had a great time. The food looked good and the food tasted amazing. I definitely will be coming back to try something different. I might also have to come back for the desert next time.

Let’s talk about the spontaneous trip to MacGergor’s a few months after Gordon left. My friend and I were famished so we decided to pop in a little after they opened. You choose in outdoor seating and the vibe was just right with the breeze off the water. Good lighting and music the bar looks well stocked. Jackie our server was soo great and attentive. We started with mocktails(coconut mojito, blackberry lime lemonade) they both hit. Next calamari a tad salty still liked them the jalapeños gave it a nice touch. I choose the rock fish tacos as my entree. They were good the mango salsa pulled it together on the warm corn tortillas. The side was chips and salsa from what tasted like Tostitos. But what out shined it all you ask……? The blueberry pie of course, it was absolutely perfect with the scoop of ice cream. It’s a great place to enjoy great service, drinks, and the rest the the desserts with friends

Love the bacon Brie fig jam burger and a cold brew. Onion rings you can’t go wrong with your burger. But if you’re not a local you won’t have a warm fuzzy at the bar maybe try the dining hall.

Our food was great and our bartender Brandon did a fantastic job. He’s very professional, quick with his service, good recommendations, and seemed to run an efficient bar. He was friendly with both customers and other employees.

They recently changed the menu, everything we tried was great. The American burger was very good, definitely try the seasoned fries. We also got a crab cake and it’s probably the best in town. They also had some live music on a Thursday night.

It was a very pleasant dinner on a quiet Sunday. The food is as good as the views and they did a great job. The service was fantastic and quick and we left with a very good experience. The tavern area is cute and has very nice ambience!

Great service and food! We went for a late lunch. We received our orders very quickly. The food was hot and fresh. The bartender was very helpful getting us seated and providing service. We will be back 🙂

My wife and I were in town for a show at the Star Centre (which was fantastic) and decided to stop at MacGregors. The server was great and that’s where it ends.
I had the pork which was beyond salty, paired nicely with a bland scoop of mashed potatoes with no salt or flavor (they must have used it all on the pork), which also paired nicely with my side Caesar salad that was dunked in the dressing and wilted from the generous coating!
I’m never this critical in reviews but felt it was fair to share because of all the positive reviews I had read.
Maybe an off day for the kitchen (Saturday 2/14/26), overbooked (doubt it since the dinning room had two couples in there at 5pm) as we went to the bar area, or my palate just differs from the local guides.
If this is the resturant you have to look forward to in Harve De Grace I’d move!

Had rock bites and son and I had American smash burgers. Bites were very sweet. Seasoning was good, but sweet. Burgers, well you couldn’t taste the burger. So many toppings and condiments to cover up what I am thinking was a steamed burger. No taste of meat, WTH. Fries were dry. Like you needed to drink afterwards or have a dry mouth. So, 2 burgers and fries, rock bites, one unsweetened ice tea, one Miller’s lite and $10 tip was like $73. I guess we have settled for subpar food at high prices. I thought Gordon Ramsey fixed this place ? Oh and nobody was there so it’s not like they were slammed.
