This place absolutely exceeded our expectations! My boyfriend and I stopped by for a little getaway dinner, and it was his first time trying Indian food—he was a bit nervous because of his nut allergy, but the staff was incredible about it. Arun, Ajjeet, and Rashi made us feel so welcome and cared for, walking us through the menu, double-checking ingredients, and even making suggestions so he could enjoy the meal safely.
The atmosphere was cozy, inviting, and perfect for a date night. Every dish was beautifully presented and packed with flavor—each bite felt like a new experience! I won’t give this place a 1 star review just because of some minor issues like may people have done here which is honestly a reflection of the stupidity of some people.
Firstly food is a 8/10 here – pretty good. For South Indian / Sri Lanka cuisine it beats other places in the city hands down and has nice ambience and atmosphere for dine in.
Now what let me down –
1) It has been 2 days since the last snowfall in PG and the pavement / parking area is frozen solid with no salt added. This creates a slippery surface as soon as someone exits their car. The first contact is with the slippery icy floor which is dangerous and unlawful, almost careless from the business owner. It costs $5 for a bag of salt from Home Depot, the owner can simply salt their own parking area or better yet, take 10 mins and remove all ice with a shovel. I felt this was unsafe for diners of the restaurant to endure this risk!
2) I’ve ordered here many times, every time takeout but today I just wanted a place to serve me a warm cup of chai and a Malabar parotta on the side. I placed a takeout order and the staff said 20-25 mins. I was surprised that it would take theme 20-25 mins to give me 2 easy items which I can probably make at home faster ! Anyways I waited in my car and yes they did take ~25 mins to give me a single parotta and a cup of chai which I found disappointing! It was 11 am and I thought the kitchen would be prepared with chai !
Other than that this remains a great place to eat especially South Indian / SL food in PG !!

Visited here for lunch on the way from Dawson creek to Vancouver. Ordered Chicken 65, Panneer 65 and both were very tasty. After starters, We ordered 3 lunch combos , Chettinadu chicken curry combo, Goat curry combo and Butter Panneer Combo. All Lunch Combo came with rice, Channa masala , Roti or Parotta. All the food tasted very authentic and tasty.
We tried their Coffee and tea and those were good too.
Service was wonderful and the ambience was pretty nice.

Had Chicken Biryani at Madras Maple Cafe and it was just as good as what I’ve had in Dubai – full marks for taste! Special thanks to Rashi for her excellent service; she even brought a cute kids’ cup for my child without me asking. Really impressed.

So me and my friend went in to dine in today. Worst experience ever. The food was absolutely terrible—tasteless, overly sweet, and felt like zero effort was put into it. We waited about 30 minutes for just our drinks and the food was served already by the time we got our drinks. On top of that, the service was even worse. No greeting, no basic manners, no acknowledgment at all. The staff was ignorant, careless, and acted like customers were a burden instead of their job. Completely unprofessional and disappointing. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Total waste of time and money

Place looks clean, food’s great. Great ambiance and the service was superb. “Rashi”, our server, was very accommodating and she made sure to keep the food mild spicy – as too spicy food dont agree with us. Great place to dine alone and with friends. Will dine again next time ♥️

I visited this restaurant on **Friday around 8:10 PM**. While the food and atmosphere were fine, I witnessed an unprofessional incident at the front desk.
A female staff member wearing sunglasses/spectacles spoke very rudely and in a bossy manner to a coworker in front of customers. It was uncomfortable to watch and reflected poorly on professionalism and management.
I hope this behavior is addressed to ensure a respectful work environment.
