Update: they didn’t even cut my mfkng dilla. ♀️
Simple, 4 crunchy tacos. Worth it.
Liz, the store manager at this location, was the one who answered. She was rude and oblivious to anything going on. She spent the entire phone call arguing that Taco Bell doesn’t provide delivery.
She kept insisting that we must have ordered through the Doordash app or Uber Eats because the Taco Bell app does NOT let you order delivery.
She talked over my mom, who had placed the order (through the Taco Bell app), nonstop. Liz would not accept that Taco Bell delivers.
Unfortunately for her, she was wrong, and had she stopped to check, she would’ve seen that. But she’s underpaid and frustrated, and takes that frustration out on customers.
I took over the call because the way she was talking to my mom, who had been polite, was unacceptable. I tried explaining, again, in very clear terms, that they do offer delivery. I opened the Taco Bell app, and suggested she do the same. I read the options in the app, that beautiful word at the top of the screen… “Delivery”. She was too preoccupied on speaking over me to understand.
You might be thinking this is just a misunderstanding… But no. This seemed like a personal vendetta. A slight against her store. When I asked if she was trying to say that Taco Bell contracts with Doordash or Uber Eats, she triumphantly denied that too.
In her righteous quest to prove us wrong and hear no argument, she forgot that, at the top of the receipt, it says “Taco Bell Delivery”. She forgot that she, too, could have opened the app and seen the word “Delivery”.
On the topic of food, though… My cheesy gordita crunch had no sauce until the last half. A cruel reminder of flavors lost to me, a Delivery Believer™️. The non-existant meal was alright. Bit airy, not a lot of bite.
Everyone else I’ve interacted with at this location has been great. It’s just the manager that needs to work on conversation basics and knowing that her store offers delivery.
