Can’t believe I waited so long to try this place after moving to Marine!! Holy moly everything is phenomenal! Great food! Amazing staff! Terrific atmosphere! Can’t ask for more than that! Brookside helps the community when asked, always seeing them on fundraiser lists. The food is high quality and prepared well! I love that they used recyclable to go containers ♻️ oh and did I mention the brook that runs next to it?! It is so quaint and historical! Love love love!

Friendly staff, restaurant has several “rooms” as you walk backwards and a heated/enclosed patio. I ordered the club sandwich with fries, it’s a hearty sandwich and if they didn’t butter and grill the bread, I would have loved it. As is, it’s a little messy and greasy.

Brookside is the BEST! We are always welcomed with friendly faces! Fantastic food that never disappoints. The yummy new drinks every month are always amazing! The quesadilla burger is delicious and a menu favorite in my family. All their comfort winter dishes are good too! Rosie served us tonight, she has the most kind spirit that makes you feel like you are right where you are supposed to be!

We found this place 2 years ago on vacation and we absolutely loved it. We drove around for 2 days trying to find it again and WE DID!! It’s a beautiful place surrounded by many interesting sights and history. We will always stop by when we are close.

We stopped in for lunch and sat outside on the patio. The location is awesome! There’s a Brooke running underneath the bar/restaurant! It took a long time for us to get served, but once we did, all was fine. We got the quesadilla, pizza and the Tuscan chicken sandwich. They were really good!

What a gem of a place to find on our way back to the Twin Cities from a hike. The flavors and combinations aren’t your typical bar and grill style and it was well executed. They have gf options that were so good. I got a pizza that I still think about with goat cheese and a cranberry drizzle. Delicious! So many great options. Would definitely go back and highly recommend.

Stopped in on Sunday afternoon for some appetizers and beers. Had the fried sunfish and onion rings. The Sunnies were hot and “just out of the lake” fresh tasting.

Genuinely friendly and knowledgeable service by all servers. Food is perfectly seasoned and always served hot. Vegan and vegetarian options are clearly stated. Pizza is way above bar. Burgers and sides are delicious and not too greasy. Back patio has seriously good vibes, many tables are “brook side” and the sounds are delightful. Lovely potted plants everywhere. Prices are super fair.

We were seated at a dirty table that the host apologized for and cleaned without prompting. Our server was clearly very new, but it took him about 20 minutes just to ask if we wanted anything to drink. We ordered burgers, fries and sweet potato fries, everything tasted great. It was another 40 minutes before our food arrived. The patties were perfectly cooked with those crispy edges.
We’ll chalk the negative experience up to new staff and a rough labor environment but plan for a wait next time.

Never have I been to a restaurant where the food took me back home. Their pizza tastes just like my dads and is SO delicious! The Garbage pizza especially! Rosey the bartender greets you as you walk in and is very knowledgeable with her cocktails. We have had burgers, Reubens, and the hot beef as well – a job well done on all! It fills up fast during the dinner rush, but there is a very lovely outdoor patio area in back to enjoy those summer evenings. Definitely don’t sleep on Brookside Bar & Grill – it is well worth the drive! (FYI, they don’t auto bring you glasses of water, you need to ask for it. Cheers!)
