I’m hoping that we just happened to come on a very off night. We were a large party (10), but it was not overly busy. Ordering took a long time, and our food took at least 30 minutes to arrive. Two things made the wait worse. First, our drinks were ordered and then….did not come. We finally had to ask for them again, and with that wait, they should have been free. Secondly, our party ordered our food at the same time, and yet the dishes arrived sporadically over a 15-minute period. That’s a big no-no with serving a group. We arrived excited to try a place new to us, but left pretty underwhelmed.

Easily the worst meal we’ve ever had and the prices were outrageous. To start, all our apps came out after our entres (which all came out at different times). The spinach and artichoke dip was $14 and we got stale and chewy chips. Literally inedible. Picture attached. We tried to ask for more fresh chips and got more of the same old dry chewy chips. The menu also said it came with pita and we got no pita.

Also attached is a picture of the $18 quesadilla I ordered. It was the first thing out and that’s probably because they didn’t even bother to cook the cheese. It was supposed to come with fixings like lettuce pico rice etc. and came with nothing. I had to ask twice for the stuff that was supposed to be on the $18 quesadilla. I ended up with a plate of old lettuce and a tomato and never got the rice. At absolute most that thing should be worth $10, but I’ve seriously seen more impressive quesadillas from a kids menu. For $18 it’s absolutely mind boggling to serve something of such low quality.

We also ordered the BBQ pork sandwich which literally came with no BBQ? It was just plain pork. And a Philly sandwich which was also so bad we couldn’t eat more than half. I’m disgusted and horrified at the quality of food especially considering the outrageous price. The meals should be 1/3 the price for what you’re getting. I’ve had better quality food from Taco Bell at 3am.

I will say the waitress was nice and tried to fix the issues with the food but we could tell they were fed up with the kitchen too. Although, a good waitress should be able to tell the food is coming out wrong in the first place. And I know the issues with the food were brought to the managers attention but she never came over to our table to address the problem. Also, the restaurant was not busy at this time. Overall, Blue parrot next door is 100x better. This place is a major let down and we will not be returning.

Great little spot on the water. Large beer and drink list. We had the wings with the house sauce, they were cooked to perfection. They were not too spicy with a nice Thai chili/BBQ flavor. Highly recommend!

I would say the place had fantastic food. The mini crab cake appetizers were amazing. I love the calamari had peppers and banana peppers in them. Loved the mahi-mahi & shrimp tacos.

The water is self serviced which I wasn’t the biggest fan of but I guess it means you don’t ever have to wait on your waitress to bring it to you. They also do not have any mock tails to offer which was hard since my friend is sober now. I wanted her to still feel like she could have a fun drink and the waitress couldn’t come up with anything and said sorry they couldn’t do them. Wasn’t a fan of my paper plates for the appetizers- mine kept flying away. All in all – I will be back for the food.

*update* 7/1/23

The food wasn’t the best this evening. The southwest eggs felt like biting into a donut. It was way too soft. The calamari was lukewarm. The only part of the night that made it worth going was my drink a Miami Vice.

Highly recommended. Food is excellent and they have a pretty good selection of beer. I had the Mahi Mahi with Brussel sprouts and cauliflower and the wife had BBQ nachos. Apparently they don’t have a full bar. The wife ordered a mudslide but they couldn’t make one. That is not a dealbreaker. The food is great!

I am not familiar with the area, so I googled “restaurant with outdoor seating,” this came up. Based on the featured picture I chose to go to Blue Parrot (right next door) but it looked way to busy when I drove up, so I went here instead. I was pleasantly surprised! It was exactly what I was looking for! My dogs and I sat on the water, I drank a beer and had some decent food. Very calm, laid back atmosphere while maintaining a standard (quality, quantity, service, and aesthetics) above what I would expect. Menu is limited, but decent selection, decent prices. There wasn’t a LOT of beer to choose from, but there was a good variety and the one I had was delicious! The service was good, my server was very busy but still made an effort to acknowledge the wait and was polite and apologetic. Overall, I enjoyed my experience and would return!

Great food and fantastic live entertainment. Very friendly and attentive staff. I wish I lived closer. I would be there nearly every day.
Try the Mahi Mahi fish tacos with cilantro rice. Be sure to spritz some fresh sliced lime onto everything.
Try the stuffed potato skins smothered in pulled pork.
Chase it down with a cold beer or a blended drink.
You will not be disappointed with any of these choices.

Food was delicious. When asked some regulars whats good here, they said everything, and did not lie. Pictured is the large pepperoni calzone which went for 16$. A big portion, had some leftover. Ordered at the bar and it was packed (Saturday at dinner time) so took some time to place the order. Waitress brought the food to the boat creating a pleasant experience. Would recommend and do it again.

Our favorite lakeside restaurant on Lake Norman. The staff is friendly, live music splendid, and the food is it of this world! We’ve had pretty much everything off the menu and never been disappointed. My personal favorites are the Chilled Lobster Dip, Turkey Wrap, and absolutely ginormous wings!
