Godavari Restaurant is always a favorite and my go-to place whenever I’m craving good food. It never disappoints.
This time I ordered ragi sangati with chicken curry and chicken mandi, and both dishes were incredibly satisfying to the soul. Everything was flavorful, comforting, and just yum. The quality and taste are consistently great.
I also really love the service and ambience, the staff is welcoming, and the atmosphere makes the whole dining experience even better. Always happy to come back here!

Tried a few items from the menu, and overall the experience was mixed. The Mirchi Bajji was okay—nothing special but passable. The Mutton Mandi tasted good, but definitely didn’t feel worth the $40 price tag. The Chicken dish was a disappointment; it was overly sweet, almost like too much ketchup was added, which really overpowered the flavor. The Tawa Machli was just okay—decent but not something I’d go out of my way to order again.
Overall, some dishes were fine, but the value and flavor consistency could be better.

We had dinner at Godavari Charlotte, and the Butter Paneer Masala was absolutely delicious! The sauce was rich, creamy, and had the perfect flavor. It was definitely the highlight of the meal. We also tried the Street Style Noodles, which were just okay for us.

I had been to godavari in Hartford CT which was not good and was hesitant to go this one. But the food was good. The naan is one of the best naans I have eaten in US. The paneer kulchan is also good and on the sweeter side. The starters are very good
Update : had been her for lunch and the bullet naan was good. The taste is still maintained well. Spice levels are a little higher so always order one level lower than what you would normally order

I recently visited Godavari and had a mixed experience. While i like the ambiance, chicken 65 there were a few areas that could use improvement, such as staff involvement. biryani flavors, and food taste consistency. First 65 was amazing. Second one was burned and not good at all and fish was worst of all. Overall, it was okay experience and there’s plenty room for growth. I would consider returning in the future if they do something about their consistency.

We had a great dinner at Godavari. The food was amazing and I tried many Indian restaurants here in Charlotte. The service was great as the hostess was checking if we’re doing good and if we need anything. The wait time for the food was decent and the ambiance was great. The food is definitely one of the best Indian food I’ve had by far. We ordered Shrimp Curry, Konaseema Royyala Biryani, Guntur Garlic Naan, Masala Chai, and Karvepaku Chicken. Everything tasted great and my personal favorite is Karvepaku Chicken. We didn’t have a lot of expectations based on the review but we truly enjoyed the food and service. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone.

Worst restaurant experience. I am visiting Charlotte on vacation from DL with my infant and this was extremely disappointing.
We ordered rava masala dosa, rava dosa, cheese dosa, veg paneer pulao, and one mirchi bajji. The food quality was very poor.
• The rava dosas were deep-fried and burnt black, completely inedible.
• The paneer pulao tasted like they simply fried paneer and mixed it with plain rice, with no proper flavor or preparation.
• Overall, the food was messed up and not fresh.
When we informed the staff about the issues, there was no proper response or concern from them.
In all my years living in the USA, I have never had such a bad food experience, especially at an Indian restaurant. This was very disappointing and not what we expected while traveling with a baby.

First time trying Godavari. The service was very tentative and food was served in a fashionable time, still hot. We had tried different plates and appetizers. Not everything fit my pallet but glad I was able to enjoy trying a lot of different things. The Naan is good as it should be. Curry lamb is a must have as well as the chicken 555. Not the best Indian food I’ve had but still worth trying out.

Heard about it through the grapevine, and definitely a Thumbs Up! The food was really delicious, with great service. The chef even came out to kindly ask me how I enjoyed the food, which I appreciated. When I first got there, the receptionist seemed quite annoyed with me, which was baffling, as I have no idea why. But as the meal progressed, she seemed to warm up a bit. At the end, most of the staff was waiting at the door as I exited, and all smiles. Glad to find great Indian food here in Charlotte since my favorite had been Brooklyn.

Visited for the first time with family on Sunday afternoon for lunch. We asked for Got biriyani but to our surprise they were out of got biriyani on Sunday afternoon at 1:40pm. Really surprised and shocked that they didn’t have goat biriyani. It was a huge disappointment but we were so hungry and all decided to order different biriyani varieties we ordered- Shrimp Biriyani was good, Special chicken biriyani was delicious, Goat roast mamsam biriyani was very spicy but good, and Hyderabadi chicken dumplings biriyani was bland and tasteless.
Dead slow service, we were waiting for the food for around 45 minutes. Never waited so long in any Indian restaurants before .
