Celebrated my wife’s birthday last night at Grill at 1951. Wonderful evening! Everything was perfect. Food, drinks, service from Yvonne & Kitt Mora Quartet entertainment. Food exceeded our expectations from what remember years ago. 16 oz. Wagyu Ribeye special perfectly done & fork tender, 8oz Lobster perfectly done & calamari appetizer delicious, chocolate lava cake so good! Server, Yvonne, did an excellent job ; followed our request for delivery of our appetizer & entrees since we want to spread it out during the evening at our request. She was well tipped for extra good service provided. Drinks were equally delicious & priced as we expected to pay at a higher end restaurant. Salted Carmel martini with 3 liquors was delicious. Ordered 2. Wife enjoyed Peaches from Heaven martini. Kitt Moran Quartet topped it off making for a perfect evening.

As someone who really cares about food, The Grill at 1951 delivered. Two couples of us ordered the 2-for-$55 menu (apps, bread, salad, entrée, and dessert), which is an excellent value and a great way to try a wide range of dishes.
The mussels were a standout — clean, briny, and clearly very fresh. The wine and martini list is well curated, portions are generous (we left with plenty of leftovers), and the live jazz created a great atmosphere. A true gem. No surprise they were packed — reservations are a must.

The bread service was outstanding with the roasted garlic. The shrimp and crab stuffed mushroom was mixed well with a great sized portion. The apple stuffed pork chop was decent sized, the potatoes had fresh garlic and the zucchini and squash were cooked perfectly. They had a deal on steaks so my husband got the wagyu sirloin. We haven’t been in years and we were impressed.

Excellent food and outstanding service by Jessica. We were a group of 4 without a reservation but we were promptly given a table and seated. Jessica was very attentive during our dinner service. She was pleasant and very helpful, providing us with details on menu options. Service was prompt and the food was outstanding. Jessica checked on us multiple times to ensure our dining experience was great. We will definitely stop into the restaurant again in the future. Highly recommend.

My husband and I had a date night at The Grill at 1951 last night. Our highboy table at the back of the room was perfect for watching the jazz trio perform as we ate. The atmosphere was lively with soft lighting. The restaurant was pretty full for mid-week with several 6+ parties in the room. The complimentary bread with garlic and balsamic olive oil was a treat. My Cucumber mule ($12) was refreshing and my husband enjoyed a Stella beer ($6.50) with the appetizer and a glass of house chardonnay ($12) with dinner. Loved the salt and pepper calamari with sweet chili sauce! I had seafood chowder while my husband a opted for the Caesar Salad for a $2 upcharge. Both were good. Our entrées (not pictured) were the Baked Cod and Short Ribs from the $55 menu. I chose risotto as my starch and it was a bit more pasty than I would have liked. The fish was tender and fresh but could have used a little more seasoning. My husband wasn’t a big fan of the rib meat. He said it tasted like unseasoned stew meat. He picked apart the gristle and tried to eat the best parts. The Chocolate Lava Cake for dessert was worth the wait. Warm and sweet with fresh whipped cream. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. Our bill came to $112 with tax and tip. A bit more than you’d expect when choosing the $55 for 2 menu. It’s the beverages that brought the price up considerably. Overall a pretty good experience. I’m not sure we’d return for the seasonal menu again. The regular dinner menu prices were considerably higher but it might be worth the added cost to get a more palatable entree.

This place is a gem. We went on the recommendation of our friend who owns her own establishment so it came highly recommended. We were totally delighted as the place is beautiful, there was a wonderful jazz combo playing in the background. Next time, I would sit closer to the musicians as they was really enjoyable. The food was all beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. We all had seafood, all great. Finally while there are around 10 screens, they display a rotating collection of modern, mainly rather colorful, abstract artwork. The place is a total delight and I would love to return.

All of this was fabulous. We were celebrating a birthday so wanted to try something new and special. The food that we did get was fabulous. But the prices for the portion sizes for appetizers was exorbitant. And they are made into specifically smaller portions to allow you to try four or five appetizers to share! At $18-29 for each appetizer, I don’t think so. It definitely was hard to stay within the budget and get foods we loved. As you can see dinner portions were very large and allowed us to take some home for a second meal. The squash was excellent and the bread and olive oil/vinegar was some of the best I have had. My husband also said the chicken parm was the best he has had. So even though it was expensive it was delicious. We also got the shrimp stuffed grouper. It was ok but not worth the price, parmesan chicken Alfredo, risotto and I think ricotta and spinach lasagna.

My wife and I were at your restaurant last night with another couple, March 5. The food was excellent,, a special order was Filled with no question, and the service was great.
I suggest that you have some top-notch individuals making your restaurant click., So in appreciation of that service I also would like to recommend that chef Bobby be made executive chef Bobbi in charge of the kitchen, and Mason be made executive vice president in charge of restaurant services. You gave us a night to remember with great food, libations, and music. Thank you, Mike.
