I stopped by around 6PM craving something hearty — and this place delivered.
Started with the zucchini sticks — golden, crispy, perfectly seasoned, with a creamy ranch on the side. Then came the lasagna — hot, layered with beef, rich tomato sauce, and that cheesy crust that makes you pause for a second. Comfort food at its finest. You can tell it’s made with care, not just thrown together.
Service? Surprisingly warm. My server, Thaddeus, had a small hole in his branded shirt — but man, he had the right attitude: polite, attentive, there exactly when needed. You feel like he actually cares about your experience, not just the tips.
Now, the honest part — the place could use a little extra love in the cleanliness department, especially the restroom. It’s not a dealbreaker, but it’s noticeable.
The total came to $33.76, and I left $20 tip — because when food and service hit right, you reward that.
Final take: Brooklyn’s Best has heart. It’s not fancy, but it’s real — good flavors, friendly faces, and that “local favorite” vibe that chain spots just can’t fake. I’ll be back for the pizza next time
We also tried 3 different slices of pizza and I will honestly say they were good and hit the spot, but nothing spectacular in my opinion. I’d like to return and try other menu options
I must say, I’m thoroughly impressed. Whether you order the cheese or the lobster ravioli, the flavor is out of this world. It’s not just the exquisite, thick sauce; it’s also the texture, density, perfect doneness of the pasta, and the filling of the ravioli. Everything is a perfect 10. This place continues to surprise us in the best way, and the very competitive prices definitely encourage us to return sooner rather than later.
I also highly recommend the salad with oranges and the salad with apple. Both are perfect as appetizers or as a main course. In short, everything I order at this place tastes divine. The chefs are extremely talented in this place. I mean… wow. Just wow.
Edit to add more pics.
We went around 1:30-ish and on the outside, it looked quiet but once we entered the door, it was packed on the inside and they were BUSY making/taking orders! We waited about 10min for a booth and it took another 5-10 minutes before we could place our order. They were busy, so that was ok. 1 gentleman was running all the tables, taking orders, busing and serving everyone. 1 hostess/phone order person and the kitchen was busy!
It took a while cuz it’s made to order, plus they were cranking out to-go/phone orders. When we got our pizza though, it was delicious!! We also ordered the garlic bread and some wings and both were delicious!
The pie is thin crust (no surprise here cuz it’s Brooklyn style!) and they got our order perfectly. It was a little light on the sauce side for me cuz I really like lots of sauce on my pizza and they gladly gave me a small cup of sauce on the side and I continue happily gobbling the pizza down. nom nom nom!!
They sell by the slice too if you do not want to get a whole pie and there is a lunch special: 2 slices and a soda for around $10-ish (don’t remember the exact amount). It is a great deal considering everything is so expensive now. This is becoming our favorite pizza joint!
At first, we got just one lunch special as the kids didn’t want to eat (so they said).. as soon as we took one bite of the pizzas, we ordered another lunch special, lasagna, the Brooklyn Mac (Mac n cheese) and spaghetti which I didn’t get a picture of. I haven’t had pizza this good since petrossi’s & petrillo’s in California. We have an amazing pizza place where I live now too but just not the style cooking you have here. I’ve never been to Brooklyn so I cannot say anything in regard to “comparing” against Brooklyn pizza joints but if you want amazing food, fair pricing and amazing work staff, go to this place!!!!
If you’re really lucky, you’ll have Liz as your server. She rocks. She’s the EXACT personality a place like that needs. Thanks Liz!
