Food was really good. Both my wife and I enjoyed our meals. Waiter was on top of everything. Very good. I never know what to order in Indian venues but I tried the Lamb Korma and it tasted great. I wish I understood the food better or they would add pictures to the menu. I would have definitely also ordered so veggies of some kind just to have a bit of variety on the plate. Eating a whole bowl of just Korma was a bit much. Don’t skip the Naan bread. We got the garlic version and it was incredible.

First time eating Indian food, I was just passing by Topeka and found this place bc of its great rating and popularity, now I know why! Just DELICIOUS, flavor is so intense; I ate the Lamb Korma with Chicken Naan! Atmosphere is very peaceful and pleasant!

Very nice experience overall, our glasses never went dry. They gave great recommendations and my daughter and I both enjoyed our meals. We got the keema naan as our appetizer, I got the Chicken Tikka Masala curry and my daughter got the Lamb Boti kabob. The spice was perfect at medium, we were glad we didn’t do hot because the medium has a good kick to it! We will be back!

Exceptional Indian food restaurant, we’re so glad to have found it, the 5 star reviews can definitely be believed/trusted. The food is fantastic (we ordered medium heat, they are very helpful on determining the heat level you are comfortable with so you don’t ruin your meal), staff is super friendly and attentive (must be family owned/run), best of all the place is immaculately clean (bathrooms are spotless) so you know the kitchen is clean as well. Their location in a strip mall isn’t the best or easiest to find (google it before you go), it faces 21st Street north of Target but worth the trip. Bon appétit!!!

The food is very good. Excellent lentils and naan. Masala was good, not amazing.
Why 3 stars? Look, I ordered a $19 lunch box (which is already highly priced) and got rice but wanted a bit more.
How much for average-tasting rice? $5 extra on the ticket? That’s nuts.
It’s Topeka. Read the room. With tip, that’s basically a $30 lunch for one person with no drinks.

“I can confidently say Monsoon Indian Grill is serving some of the best Indian cuisine I’ve had in a long time. From the moment you walk in, the aroma of spices hits you and you know you’re in for a treat.
We started with the Samosas, which were perfectly crisp on the outside and stuffed with a flavorful, comforting potato and pea filling. For the main course, the Lamb Tikka Masala was a standout—tender chunks of meat in a sauce that was rich, creamy, and spiced exactly to my requested heat level. We also tried the Butter Chicken, which was velvety and decadent without being overly sweet.
You absolutely cannot skip the Garlic Naan; it came out hot, fluffy, and dripping with just the right amount of garlic butter—perfect for scooping up every last bit of curry.
If you are looking for authentic flavors and high-quality ingredients, this is the place. Highly recommended!”

Pros: the food is amazing, staff is awesome, atmosphere is clean, paintings are a good addition to the eating experience.

Cons: I can’t stay longer and never have enough time to eat it all.

As usual I will start by providing you with my experience from beginning to end.
Upon arrival the location is a little hidden but don’t let this discourage you. What some places lack in curb appeal they excel in other areas.

Upon entering the restaurant the music was pleasant and the atmosphere was inviting and welcoming. One thing I noticed right away was the play with colors and painting. I also didn’t mind that there was only one small TV which is nice to see in today’s restaurant world of restaurants filled with tvs.

The host Peter was quick attentive and sweet. He answered questions and stayed attentive throughout our visit.

My wife and I really enjoyed this experience. The food was simply sensational. I’ve had butter chicken at several Indian restaurants and this ranked at the top of them. The use of spices and flavors really does something for your soul. My wife got a sampler platter and loved it as well.

We had a three course meal that included amazing desserts and an appetizer. The fried cauliflower was great and I will get this on every trip.

Overall we spent under 100 dollars for both my wife and I to eat authentic Indian cuisine in Topeka.

One more thing before I go I gave my props to Peter but the women who were also there to help were also amazing. They were fast and friendly.

Seek out this place! It is around the corner. The food was amazing!!!! The gobi appetizer was soooo flavorful! You can adjust it to your spice level. The korma sauce and chicken was tender, and full of flavor. Can’t say enough great things. The service was fast and great. The garlic naan was nice and garlicky! You also know it is great when they have Trip Advisor awards in the wall.

Our food was delicious and the service was an A+. We ordered our dishes mild plus and 1 of them was super spicy. We simply mentioned it to our waiter but told him it was still really good. Before we knew it, we had a replacement that had just the right amount of spice. The Shahi Paneer is my absolute favorite. Thank you!
