My wife had been given a $50 gift card for this restaurant so we decided to take the drive to Brown County and try it. While the scenery is beautiful, it is the only highlight of this restaurant. Upon entering, we stated that we had a reservation and were seated. However, we were not given silverware or napkins at that time. Our waitress, Maddie F. Came over to our table about 10 minutes later and asked if we were ready to order. She did bring us two glasses of water, yet still no silverware or napkin. My wife ordered the pretzel and a salad. I ordered a burger with pepper jack cheese, and bacon on it and french fries. I had to ask the waitress before she left if I could have something to drink besides water, and she obliged. she returned 10 minutes later with plates for an appetizer still no silverware or napkin. At this time before she left my wife inquired about my Pepsi. This is when our waitress asked my wife to remind her what she had ordered as an appetizer. 30 to 40 minutes go by and our food comes out. However, still no napkin or silverware. My wife asks a manager about the napkins and silverware to which the manager replied, “The person that seated you should have given it to you, but I will take care of it.” Now you might ask yourself, surely the manager just grabbed napkins and silverware, and handed it to my wife, right? Wrong! 10 minutes later, we got our napkins and silverware. The burger that I ordered tasted like a leather hockey puck and the fries were inedible. My wife’s salad was in just as bad a shape as my burger. At this point, we had seen our waitress, maybe three times. At no time did she offer to refill my Pepsi, ask if our food was everything okay, tasted good, etc. We decided to leave but needed two boxes, (for the dogs), and my wife had to flag down some employee as our waitress was nonexistent. When our waitress finally came back to the table. I informed her that we were ready for the check. She handed it to me, took the $50 gift card, yet, STILL owed $1.80 and paid it with my debit card. However, our waitress seemed uninformed as to how to use her point of sale system. Upon seeing this, I told her I would handle it. Which I did. I honestly cannot remember the last time I did not leave a tip at a restaurant, And I am sure that I have never had such bad service in my life. Couple that with how horrible the food was, we will never be back and we will never recommend Hard Truth restaurant to anyone. If we had another gift card, we would give it away. In summary if I could give this less than zero stars, I would. I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone. It is overpriced and does not deliver on taste or service.

Went here for dinner before headed back home. Was a little let down in the options on the menu. There were a few good salmon dishes if you don’t eat or enjoy meat. I also saw meatloaf and pull pork nachos. I saw sandwiches on the menu too. The appetizers to choose from were amazing. I tried to Brussel sprouts and would recommend them! My pumpkin beer came with a beautiful and tasty cinnamon sugar garnish!!

UPDATE 09/26/2025.- The Vegetarian Asian Miso salad was pathetic. There were A LOT OF RICE with 10 edamames, 2 measly pieces of mushrooms and some coleslaw chucked in, which almost seems like the cook didnt give a damn. And we were charged an extra dollar for the dish that was supposed to be $21.99!!! I was very disappointed with the way it was prepared and served. JULY review – Emma our waitress was excellent. We had the Brussels sprouts and pretzel appetizers which were tasty, the sauce for the pretzel was a little salty for our liking though. The strawberry salads, Asian Salmon miso dishes and the lemon chicken entree which were all freshly madewere scrumptious. The beer in the pic was a peanut butter knuckle buster which very refreshing. Other alcoholic beverages were busted knuckle beer which was also very tasty, and glasses of Cabernet. The restaurant has breathtaking views and multi tiered terraces. Lovely place and atmosphere.

Good food at a beautiful location. They have done a wonderful job with the grounds. Wildflowers and outdoor spaces that invite you to explore the outside. The food was good and the drink CREAM was excellent! We had a server training 2 other servers and they did a wonderful job. We will be back!

We came here to celebrate a joint bachelor/ette party this Saturday and had a great experiance. Live music outside was awesome and the kiosks to order food were super convenient while we waited foe our table inside. Food was delicious, drinks were great, and the vibe is awesome. They were packed but our waitress was attentive and awesome.

Such a cute venue with a cozy, rustic vibe. The salmon was excellent, moist and well seasoned. The brussel sprouts, however, were a bit too spicy and undercooked for my taste. Service was friendly and the atmosphere made it a nice spot to relax and enjoy the day.

We look forward to visiting again and trying other menu items! The pub fries are so good and perfectly seasoned, the burger looked great and was filling but on the other hand greatly lacked simple salt & pepper and could’ve used more of that natural grill flavor. We also had the infamous pulled pork nachos, would prefer dye free chips, better quality needed there. Definitely needed more veggie toppings to balance out the heaviness from the meat. Prices are a little high for what it is but that is expected with these type of places.

We had a fantastic family meal at Hard Truth Restaurant! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfect for a relaxed dining experience. The food was absolutely delicious—if you love pork, this is the place to be! The pork chops were cooked to perfection, juicy and full of flavor, and the other pork dishes we tried were just as impressive. The drink menu was also excellent, with a great selection of craft cocktails and local favorites. Come early or make a reservation!

We had to wait thru 2 waits because we didn’t realize we had gotten our text. Service was not very good as we had our appetizer before we had our drinks. I ordered a burger medium rare but it was very well done and dry. Overall it was not a very good experience. The brussel sprout were awesome.
