The burger and fries were pretty good. Nothing spectacular, but they were definitely pretty good. What I really didn’t like was that they wanted to charge me almost $3 more to sub sweet potato fries instead of regular fries, when they only cost $1 when bought separately. I really don’t like when restaurants try to charge you extra like that for a side sub.

Beware if you’re ordering from here through Doordash, the orders very often come to you with missing items. Tonight I ordered my husband a double meat 1/2 pound burger with fries, there was only one patty on the burger and no fries. That’s almost a 20 dollar order. And two times prior, my big dog orders came with no chili when I ordered and paid for the chili. Come on Chapps, we like your food, get the service together.

A perfectly-shaped beef pattie CANNOT be hand-made or fresh made. The older gentleman and older lady in the back looked at me like I wasn’t welcome. They charge .99 for BBQ sauce on burger. 1.50 for bacon. I paid $10.90 for a regular burger nothing xtra. I had Nation burger earlier this week their burger is $7.45 (they not good also). FIVE GUYS are hands down the best burger spot in this Arlington area. I will not be back to this establishment. It was okay but not hand-made for the price. Thanks tho.

my mom lives near by so i’ve always seen this place in passing..wanted to try! was in the plaza area after work so now was my time. it was really good. $9 & some change for the classic buger $3.99 for the sweet potato fries. at first i thought that was pretty pricey, especially buying separately buuuut the portions are really nice. so i was satisfied. if you’re in the area definitely give it a try.

side note: the place was kinda dead when i came in…took less than 10 mins to receive my food. i could tell it was made fresh. restaurant was clean as well.

I’ve always loved a good burger from Chapps. This location was a little different and maybe it was an off day, but walking in, most of the tables had not been cleared. Walking up to the counter, none of the cooks had hair nets or anything, and at the front counter, the attendant was wearing loungewear shorts and an old tshirt. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger and sweet potato fries and my partner ordered the Jalapeño burger and chili cheese fries. We didn’t wait long and the food was hot! Both fries were delicious, and so were the burgers minus having been cooked a little too well done. Portions were a little off, the side of chili cheese fries was massive compared to my side of sweet potato fries so order accordingly Overall I would probably come again but I will be hoping for a cleaner dining area and better dressed employees.

ordered a to-go Cajun chicken salad with 3 ranch. Picked up on time and asked to make sure the ranch was in the bag. I was assured that it was. Drive home, open bag, not one single ranch dressing. Very frustrating. Salad was delicious but without ranch, not so much. Especially after I specifically asked and ordered it with my salad. Do better folks!

There’s a lot to like about this burger joint. First, the create your own menu is solid. I wish it had A1, but BBQ is good too. I like that the menu almost begs you to create your own.

The fries are obviously hand cut and, while most places seem to mess them up, they get it right here. Respect.

I used to eat here many years ago but had moved away and hadn’t in several years. My son was craving a burger and to be honest, I’d forgotten about chapps because i just don’t frequent the area anymore. We’ll we happened to be nearby and BAM, there is was, my old friend on Google maps. I instantly tell my son, “hey, i used to eat there as a kid, wanna try it?” He replies, “if you ate there as a kid, it’s probably old and run down” so that was it, we were eating there for sure. To make a long story short.. Both my and my son’s burgers were of the charts good, better than I’d remembered honestly. The fries were cooked fresh and crispy. I’m a burger snob as is my son and we both rate their burgers a 10/10 (son) and 9.5/10 for me. VERY few burger joints in Texas even come close to rating this high. Alamo Springs Cafe in Fredericksburg, Texas and LA Burger in the Dallas area come to mind, but that’s it. “Grill’em all burger” in Alhambre California is a close third. In all honestly, I’d rate chapps right up there with them. Chapps is truly that good. If you’re a burger snob like me, your gonna love this place. Highly recommended!

Chapps is a staple on this side of Arlington. I grew up coming here for dinner often. I love that they use Nolan Ryan beef, a delicious tribute to the Texas Rangers legend. The dining room is also decorated in tribute to Texas. The burgers are good, though the fries tend to be burnt. The philly cheesesteak was tasty, though a hit lacking in meat. I took a star off for service, which seems to have gone downhill over the years. The place wasn’t busy when I arrived, but it still took a few minutes to be acknowledged and order at the front counter. My food took a while to come out, longer than expected for so few customers. Good restaurant, staff needs more training in customer service.
