I recently had the pleasure of dining at Milk and Honey, and I can’t rave enough about the experience, particularly thanks to Courtney’s exceptional service. From the moment we arrived, she greeted us with a warm smile and genuine enthusiasm that set the perfect tone for our meal.
As a pescatarian, I often find it challenging to navigate menus, but Courtney went above and beyond to accommodate my dietary restrictions. She took the time to explain the various seafood options and even suggested some delightful dishes that were both inventive and satisfying.
What truly impressed me was Courtney’s attention to detail. She checked in regularly, ensuring that my meal was to my liking and that I had everything I needed without being intrusive. Her passion for the food and the restaurant was evident, making the dining experience all the more enjoyable.
The ambiance of Milk and Honey paired with the delicious food and Courtney’s outstanding service made for a memorable evening. I can’t wait to return and explore more of the menu!
Upon arriving, we were promptly taken to our window table. There was no waiting, and we were warmly welcomed by Courtney at the table. She quickly inquired if we had been here before and guided us through the menu. Courtney was incredibly accommodating and even clarified doubts we had before taking our order. No rush. No pressure.
Not too long after, our food arrived impeccably presented. The portions were generous, and the flavors were distinctive and a remarkable statement of New Orleans. Overall, we highly recommend this restaurant and definitely consider it a must-visit for New Orleans-style cuisine outside of New Orleans.
However, the food was disappointing. I received a chicken sandwich that only came with pickles, and the chicken itself was overcooked and extremely tough, with a lot of fat and very little meat. Unfortunately, this really affected the overall dining experience.
Overall, I’d rate my visit a 4/10. I would consider returning because the staff was great, but I’d go in prepared for a longer wait and hopeful for a better meal next time.
We also ordered the pan-seared salmon, which was cooked just right and well-seasoned, along with the butter-glazed biscuits that were warm, fluffy, and delicious. The cappuccino was smooth and well-balanced, and The Bishop drink was refreshing. Overall, the food was fresh, flavorful, and very satisfying.
My only complaint was the mac and cheese. It had a very strong black pepper taste and too much starch, which overpowered the cheesy flavor. Aside from that, everything else was excellent. I would definitely come back again.
