I odered an antipasto salad for delivery. I have ordered this salad several times with by delivery or sitting in the restaurant. It has always been a very large salad as it should be for $16.99. This time the salad was a joke. Hardly enough salad for 2 people. It was very lacking in toppings. On top of that they put warm bread in with the salad unread of wrapping it up separately. I complained to management and they were not helpful at all. Instead kind of argumentative. She said she’ll have the owners call me. I’m not holding my breath.

My first time eating and the food was delicious! My Sister had their Ravioli off their Gluten-free menu, and we enjoyed our Delicious Desserts. We had a Wonderful Waitress, and can’t wait to eat here again.

When The Village Eatery started in 1979, my mom who lived on Windermere Road commented that there was a great new restaurant in Lockport. It was a place she loved to go for special occasions. In March of 2025, she passed away at the age of 102. Our family gathered in Lockport for her Burial. The evening before the burial we decided that the Village Eatery would be our choice for dinner. One of my great remembrances of Lockport was the Beef on Wick and this place got 5 stars for this sandwich. Trying to bring back all the memories of my childhood in Lockport, when we arrived this was all that was on my mind. The place is really beautiful and our waitress was amazingly joyful. The menu was extensive for the size of the place and everything had high ratings. I ordered the beef on wick… everyone else ordered other dishes. When my plate was placed in front of me, I saw the perfect beef on wick. The horseradish was strong and vibrant. There was beef juice to the side. The meat was piled high. My first bit was amazing. This is the best beef on wick I have ever had. The beef melted in your mouth and the wick seasoning was bold. The combination was such a great bite. It brought me back nearly 40 years when I had my first beef on wick.

Given the service, the warm friendly atmosphere, and the great food our visit was such a pleasure. As always the 5th star is for clean bathrooms and they earned this. Thanks to the chef and staff for an amazing visit to Lockport.

Lasagna noodles were to al dente making it chewy. The food temp was tepid. The meatballs fell apart when attempting to cut them and had more oregano in them than I care for. We also had jumbo stuffed shells and had to request more sauce. French onion soup beforehand was great, but the entrees arrived not even 10 minutes from when it was served. I don’t like being served the main course when I’m eating my soup. The bar drinks were nice, but flavored margaritas might not be a bad ideal and White Zinfandel for wine in my opinion a solid semi-sweet option. Dessert menu was huge and my brownie sundae was scrumptious. We also had Italian cream cake which was tasty. It was an ok meal, but I’ve had better here before, so I was disappointed. I didn’t send the lasagna back because it was New Year’s Eve and they were very busy. We will likely return at some point, but I won’t order the lasagna ever again.

Edit- super unfortunate. This was our staple for 3 years now but unfortunately it seems to have gone down a bit. The owner was super friendly and the gentleman waiter was fantastic. Sadly our waiter was not. We came in at 8pm, they close at 9. Our waitress seemed perturbed at our presence. She was curt and borderline snippy. No decorations for Valentine’s but they did have a fixed Valentine’s menu with fixed prices. **Old review-
Fantastic food. Great prices. Super attentive service from Ari. From the moment we walked in the door we felt like we were part of the family. The food was fresh and delicious. I had the Fench Onion soup and the Lasagna with carrot cake for dessert. I tried their seasonal drink menu; the harvest mule was a nice balance of ginger andapple with a nice cranberry finish.

What a disappointment. 42$ prime rib “special”- ordered medium, took it home to cook it tomorrow. Spaghetti bistro, a lot of sausage and greasy burger mixed in with pasta. Over priced cheap wine. We used to love it there for the atmosphere and value, will not go back again. Waste of money as well as date night.

We ordered from here as a quick lunch option and selected the delivery option. I was surprised how quickly the food arrived with appropriate temperatures.

I ordered the Greek salad with chicken and a single order of hot wings. The wings were so good; crispy and sauced properly. The salad was fresh and crisp. The only things is, I wish there was a little more lettuce. The ranch dressing has to be homemade and had I known, I would’ve asked for it for my wings. So good!

When I’m out this way, I’ll definitely order more!

My husband and I had both had a horrible day yesterday. The kind of exhausting day that tested us both mentally and physically and neither of us wanted to cook. We decided to go out to eat and chose the village eatery as neither of us like fast food. The atmosphere was lovely and our server (Kristin) was amazing. We decided to get the special, a couples meal for $29.99. The food was absolutely phenomenal and the whole experience turned our day around. We left full and smiling. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience, it was just what we both needed after the day we both had had. Highly recommend!!

I had never been in the restaurant side & I was so pleasantly surprised. Great atmosphere, service was wonderful, food was absolutely amazing. Their gluten free pasta & bread was some of the best I’ve ever had!! Their sauces were so flavorful. Italian food that really tastes like it. Really, really enjoyed this place. One of Lockport’s best kept secrets.

Their pasta sauce is to die for, the right amount of everything. I usually don’t have red sauce because it bothers my stomach, but their sauce doesn’t bother me.
I usually go for olive oil and garlic and lots of Parmesan
Went for the Monday night specials 9.99 red sauce and 1 huge meatball or penny with red sauce meatball or Alfredo broccoli. You get 4 slices of fresh warm Italian bread with dipping sauce. You can add a caeser salad or reg salad for 3.49 , homemade Italian and homemade ranch dressing so good
What a meal for 2 under 30.00 totally recommend this place !! Pizza is great to along with the rest of their food.
AND FRENCH ONION SOUP IS ON MY TOP 10.
Rueben’s are great
