Deanie’s never disappoints! The seafood is as fresh as it gets, and the portions are massive. The fried shrimp and crawfish étouffée were absolute standouts. Loved the casual, lively vibe — it’s exactly what you want in a classic New Orleans seafood spot. Bring your appetite!

Amazing! Boiled potatoes are tasty I have never been. Shrimp are fresh and have a good texture. Bread….I killed it all (I am not a bread person). Crisp outside, inside chewy with hot temperature. Loved it. I will back again for seafood gumbo and oyster BBQ GRILLED next time(Too full, can not eat anymore)

This place came highly recommended by locals, but sadly I was unimpressed.

The catfish is NOT farm raised so it tasted dirty.

They were out of corn for the crawfish boil and they also were out of crab claws… We should have left at this point.

We ordered the Caesar salad (which was nothing special), shrimp etouffee (that had good flavor), kids catfish basket (sent back after tasting it and realizing it was not farm raised) got chicken fingers instead. Crab trio, but again they didn’t have crab claws so they substituted that with crab dressing which tasted just like the crab balls and then there was Crab au gratin (which tasted like a cheese wiz dip with some crab in it. Just bad) .. So essentially, we had two of the same thing on the plate, the cheese dip and fries (which were lame!) No seasoning or ANYTHING! But I made do by dipping the fries in the cheese crab dip au gratin.

My personal opinion, don’t waste your time or your money. This was $100 I’ll never get back.

Our server was awesome though! Very attentive and on it!

Stopped in for lunch at Deanies. Got two appetizers. Stuffed mushrooms and BBQ Shrimp. Both were excellent.
Had crawfish etouffee and crawfish bisque. Bisque was a bit better than Etouffe. Great service.

Cool atmosphere! Boiled potatoes were tasty! Fried catfish was great! BUT our server was even better!! Bo was phenomenal!!! He was super friendly and extremely attentive! Brought refills of sweet tea before I even asked. He made our overall dining experience even better! Thank you, Bo for being exceptional!! ❤️

Don’t skip Deanies!! Possibly my favorite restaurant from my week stay in New Orleans. This place is outstanding & the servers are awesome. Everything was delicious- charbroiled oysters, 1/2 seafood platter, & the coconut bread pudding. I got the bread pudding to go since we were there close to closing time, and it didn’t look like much visually, but I was very impressed with the flavor. It was amazing just like the rest of the meal! I’d love to come back here on my next visit! 10/10 superb restaurant

Had a really great meal here! The chargrilled oysters were really good. The shrimp étouffée was a fan favorite. The shrimp po boy with remoulade was also really great. We didn’t really enjoy our drinks (specifically the raspberry rosemary martini but the blueberry lemon coconut was okay) and the pasta I ordered was bland. Overall food experience and would certainly visit again!
